Their operation in BC is officially licensed as a collection agency; however, it has faced scrutiny for certain practices. Furthermore, they tend to utilise a variety of different phone numbers when they make their calls.

Ringing incessantly! Despite being informed that the individual they're searching for doesn’t actually live at this location, they refuse to relent.

Absolutely, I completely understand your frustration. It’s quite baffling really. They don’t reach out to you until the account has been handed over to collections, which tends to happen after several months of missed payments - typically around the six-month mark. The calls don’t come until the original creditor has exhausted all their efforts to recover the debt, which can sometimes be a good seven to ten years down the line! When you eventually reach out to the customer service team of the initial provider, they simply shrug and say there’s nothing they can do about the incessant calls, reassuring you that the harassment will cease once the balance is settled. Personally, I refuse to pay the collection agency - my payments always go directly to the original creditor. This way, I can avoid any extra charges like legal fees, interest, or commissions that the collection agency might slap on.
