It truly puts a damper on your day when you receive such a notification, especially when you’re not in debt at all. Quite frustrating!

I keep getting calls from someone trying to reach a resident who hasn't lived here for eight years! I don’t bother picking up.

It varies from one province to another. Take Prince Edward Island, for instance; it has a timeframe of a decade. Meanwhile, if we're talking about Ontario, it appears to be around 2 years, if I'm not mistaken. Nova Scotia seems to set the clock at 6 years, but if you factor in that extra 364 days, it rounds up to 7.

Seriously, are people really relying on Google for legal advice? It’s quite amusing, isn’t it? I mean, come on, isn’t it a tad ridiculous to seek out such serious information from a search engine?

I received an automated message that was rather irritating and hinted at some legal action. It’s quite perplexing how they could consider filing a lawsuit when they don’t even have my address or the details of the company they're supposedly collecting from. It all seems rather suspicious, almost as if it's a scam in disguise.

NCR> These individuals are nothing but fraudsters and ought to be held accountable by the authorities! There’s absolutely no debt outstanding on my part, yet they try to mislead you into believing there’s an old bill that needs settling! It's all smoke and mirrors-especially when it pertains to debts that either don’t belong to you or have been cleared ages ago.
Don't divulge any personal details whatsoever, and steer clear of confirming your identity, phone number, or anything similar! It’s paramount to notify the police about their dubious tactics!

In the past week, I’ve received three calls from this number. Each time, it’s the same robotic female voice, repeatedly asking for someone I’ve never heard of. Clearly, it’s not me they want! The message insists that this individual must get their legal representative to reach out. I’ve held onto this phone number for more than half a century, so it’s quite obvious I’m not the person they’re after. I refuse to return the calls, yet they’re incredibly irritating. Does anyone have any advice on how to put a stop to these nuisance calls?

I've been receiving calls from this number ever since I got an email alerting me that one of my social media accounts had been hacked. I've been getting the exact same nuisance call that others have mentioned! Already today, they’ve tried to reach me seven times! It all kicks off around 8 in the morning and can drag on until nearly 9 at night some days. It’s utterly infuriating, especially considering I definitely don’t owe any money like they claim! I just want them to leave me alone!

I can't help but wish they’d simply put me through to an actual human being when they call. Each time I pick up, I'm met with the same monotonous robotic voice repeating the same dreary script. You know the one - something about contacting their office urgently due to some supposed mandate hanging over me. Honestly, I’m not one for being intimidated by such tactics; a proper person would get an earful from me about what they could do with their so-called mandate. It’s utterly infuriating, to say the least, especially since they’ve managed to ring me more than twenty times in just under a month!

I attempted to put a stop to that number they used on the voicemail, yet it seems they’ve got numerous lines because the calls just won't cease. When we returned the call, a woman's voice, which had an Asian accent, picked up but promptly cut off the call. Unfortunately, as we lack caller ID, we don’t have the specific 'number' they rang from.

Complete con artists! They've been ringing me incessantly, leaving voicemails urging my solicitor to get in touch with them. No chance I'm calling them back! They've tried numerous times, but there's never an answer. A quick search online revealed a chorus of others echoing the same warning: scam. Just to be safe, I checked my credit rating and confirmed all my debts are settled-everything's in order. If they're really keen to drag me to court, let them try! 😂

I've received multiple calls from this number. The one Lousinda provided me for LM Financial claims they can assist in settling a debt on my credit card. When I quizzed the lady from LM Financial on what LM stands for, there was a noticeable pause, and she admitted she didn't have a clue. Honestly, if you're working for a company, shouldn't you know the basics about it? I made it clear that I require written documentation detailing my spending on that credit card. Yet again, I've been plagued by incessant calls from this number-877-269-5540-claiming there’s some sort of legal mandate against me and insisting my solicitor ought to give them a ring. I instantly recognised it as a ruse when I reached out to ask them to cease their calls; I don’t owe a penny to any party! I've been receiving these automated phone calls asking for someone who’s never held a position here - not even for a fleeting moment! It’s utterly baffling how they keep getting it so wrong. And the fact that these incessant calls are automated only adds to my irritation. Why on earth is there no action being taken against these nuisances? They keep pestering a legitimate business with such erroneous details. It didn't take long for me to realise it’s a complete scam, especially when they gave me two different solicitors' names to ring up! Honestly, I've not even touched a credit card in over a decade. A call came through to our place of business, leaving a rather menacing automated voicemail demanding that we return their call. Their office is supposedly based in Ontario, while we're situated in BC! They provided no additional details whatsoever and claimed they’d been attempting to get in touch with us. I've encountered a similar situation with that particular number. They keep leaving messages insisting that my solicitor should reach out to a chap named Peter Howerluck, regarding what they call a "mandate" against me. After several rather frustrating conversations, I finally made it clear that I have no plans to engage a solicitor and would prefer they send this so-called "mandate" directly to my address instead. Surprisingly, they abruptly terminated the call-not once, but twice! It’s quite baffling who they might be, but I certainly find it hard to believe that any reputable establishment would respond by disconnecting a call after treating someone so discourteously.

This is undoubtedly a dodgy operation. There’s simply no option to halt the voice message once it starts. I strongly encourage anyone who gets a call from this number to ring them back and remain silent. Fingers crossed that if enough of us do this, we can jam up their line and let them understand just how irritating their incessant calls are for us all.

I too have been receiving calls regarding a credit card that I don’t even possess. They keep pressuring me to get in touch with their solicitor, a chap named Peter Harroluck or something rather, not entirely sure of the spelling. Despite my numerous requests for them to furnish the documentation they claim to have, I've been utterly ignored. They keep insisting that there are three credit agencies in Canada, but when I've reached out to Equifax and TransUnion, they've informed me that there are only two. This supposed debt doesn’t show up in any of my credit reports, yet they're relentless with threats of legal action. My emails requesting details about this alleged third credit bureau have gone unanswered; they simply refuse to provide any information. I feel immense relief knowing it’s a scam, and I'm grateful for this site that allows us to verify these matters!

I had a similar experience, so I decided to return their call and once again found myself speaking with the same lady who had left the voicemail. I informed her that the individual she was after hasn't had this number for quite some time now-I've owned it for over a year! She reacted quite unpleasantly when I mentioned the possibility of legal action for harassment. They persist in calling, but I keep blocking their number, though their irritating message continues to pop up. I've searched for that solicitor's name in the Upper Canada Law Society records as well as by postal code, but to no avail. However, I can confirm that the address shows up perfectly well on Google Street View.

Hello! I've been receiving these rather peculiar calls that reference my husband's name, claiming his solicitor needs to speak with someone named Peter Horroluck regarding a mandate issued against him. Just like many others who have shared their experiences, I too find myself still receiving persistent calls from these individuals. When I spoke with them, they claimed this was the number associated with a previous owner and that it belonged to that person before it came to me. I've held onto this number since the dawn of mobile phones, mind you! So far, I've had to block seven different numbers connected to these callers, yet they’ve resorted to harassing me from withheld or unknown numbers, and it’s been going on right up until 9 in the evening.

This outfit goes by the name National Credit Recovery Inc., and let me tell you, they're a dodgy bunch. They haven't even bothered to set up a decent website, which is a huge red flag! Essentially, they purchase stale debts from others, and when those debts are long past their expiry date, they attempt to stir the pot in hopes of getting you to respond. This resets the clock on the debt, which is rather underhanded if you ask me. The best course of action? Simply ignore them. They can’t touch you if you don’t play their game.

Complete scam, without a doubt! They keep ringing my wife, who’s only been in Canada for a couple of years and has never had a credit card or any loans. I reached out to them and threatened legal action, but they were relentless, persistently asking for the number they were trying to reach, which I refused to provide. It’s just a case of sheer irritation at this point, but I reckon they’ll eventually quit, especially once I pick up the phone next time my wife gets one of their calls.

We've placed a block on that number after receiving incessant calls from them. Fingers crossed that it does the trick! It’s unbelievable the sort of lowlives and spineless individuals that resort to such deceit. Honestly, I’d only need a brief moment-just 15 seconds-with any of them. That should suffice to express my utter disdain for these con artists!

I've been provided with this number to return a call, and apparently, my solicitor needs to get in touch with someone named Peter Holloluck or Horroluck due to some sort of order that's been placed against me.

I'm inundated with daily phone calls that I simply refuse to answer, yet they persist in ringing my number. Is there any way to put a stop to this? Personally, I reckon the most sensible approach is just to ignore them completely. Cheers, Henri.

I keep receiving calls from this same number, and it’s becoming rather irksome. Back in February 2016, they managed to con me out of £600. It took me a good six months to grasp that I’d been scammed! I promptly contacted my bank to report the incident and followed all the necessary steps. Thankfully, they were able to refund my £600. Now, I just respond to their calls with a cheeky text. Scammers - you’re nothing but a bunch of fraudsters!

Honestly, this is utterly infuriating! This number keeps ringing me incessantly, like clockwork! Just yesterday, they had the audacity to mention involving a solicitor and threatened to take legal action against me! I'm absolutely fed up with this nonsense!

I've received multiple calls from this number, yet no one ever picks up. It's rather peculiar, to say the least!

I've been receiving rather bothersome calls from this number, but I've chosen not to pick up. Would be great if they could cease calling me, to be honest.

No need to fret if you don't have any debts; they can't really do anything to you. And even if you did owe, their power is quite limited.

That's precisely how I perceive it!

Blimey, I'm feeling quite uneasy right now. I've just been advised to get in touch with my solicitor. I'm at a bit of a loss about whether I should return that call. I'm really convinced I don't owe a penny. I let their call pass without answering, thinking it must be dodgy. Now I'm in a bit of a quandary about my next move...

I’ve been bombarded with calls from this number lately, and they’ve left a slew of messages intended for someone I’ve never heard of. On one occasion, I hung about on the line to inform them they’d dialled the wrong person, but there was this bizarre silence, so I ended up disconnecting. Today, though, I received a rather sinister phone call demanding that I reach out to a solicitor posthaste, as I’ve apparently chosen to disregard their communications. What on earth?! This clearly isn’t a legitimate enterprise if they’re resorting to threats without even knowing who they’re harassing. I might just consult my lawyer to put an end to this incessant nuisance. If there was a genuine debt on my part, I could understand the fuss... but there isn’t. I’m getting strong SCAM vibes!

I received a rather alarming message today from a debt collection firm, and it was quite unsettling. They were on the hunt for someone who had this number before me, over two years ago, no less. This individual apparently racked up debts with just about everyone and their dog, and her details seem to have been sold off to various collection firms in a bid to recover the owed amounts. What makes this whole situation even more frustrating is that one of the companies she owes money to is the very one that allocated me this phone number. Honestly, this latest bunch of chancers appears to be the worst of the lot. I suspect they're digging up information that's at least three years out of date. They clearly lack competence in their work. In fact, I managed to track down the debtor on Facebook in mere moments, and she even mentioned who she works for at the time.
