Got a call from this number saying they're from the local sheriff's department. They claimed they needed to deliver some civil lawsuit papers and asked when would be a good time so as not to interrupt my work.

I got a call from this number and my mum answered. They were asking for my wife about some debt with continental finance, saying we had only 2 hours to contact blawsuiut to sort it out or they’d be suing us. I just told them to go ahead with the lawsuit since we've never had any kind of credit with continental finance.

My in-laws got a call from someone claiming to be a police officer, saying there was an arrest warrant and they needed to get in touch with me. When I rang back, it turned out to be CDL International chasing a debt for Fingerhut. Thing is, I've never bought anything from Fingerhut. A while back, some dodgy stuff showed up on my credit report from Fingerhut, but it was actually someone else using my details, so I reported it as fraud. They insisted I still had to pay up or face arrest. I just couldn’t help but laugh! I warned them if they ever bothered my family or mates again with this rubbish, I'd report them for pretending to be the police. That’s when they hung up. What a complete scam!
