They asked when would be the most convenient time for them to do this without interfering with my work commitments.9 yearsI've had a call from this number, and according to my mother, they're trying to reach my spouse regarding some outstanding debt with Continental Finance. Apparently, we only have a couple of hours to contact these folks and resolve the issue before they initiate legal proceedings. I told them to go right ahead and file the lawsuit because we've never held any sort of credit account with Continental Finance.Continental Finance9 yearsI received a rather peculiar phone call from someone posing as a police officer, claiming they needed to reach me regarding an arrest warrant. Naturally, this alarmed me, so I promptly returned the call. To my disbelief, I was informed it was CDL International seeking payment for a debt linked to Fingerhut, a retailer I have never engaged with. Interestingly, I had an issue come up on my credit report years ago connected to Fingerhut, but it was clearly someone else using my details without consent. I reported that as fraud at the time. However, the representative insisted I was still liable for the debt and either needed to settle it or face arrest. I couldn’t help but burst into laughter! I then made it clear that I would report them for impersonating a police officer if they attempted to contact my family or friends about this absurdity again. At that point, the chap hung up on me.
