I picked up the phone, but the person on the other end didn't utter a single word. There was definitely someone there, but before I could figure out what was happening, they just hung up. To top it off, they left a voicemail claiming they had an important document waiting for me. Naturally, I rang them back to inquire about what sort of operation this was. The chap on the line claimed to be a financial planner, searching for a woman named Rebecca. I made it clear that I was not acquainted with anyone by that name. Turns out, they were actually a collection agency attempting to conceal their true identity. I insisted they take my number off their list. This marks the second time they've reached out. I've now blocked their number for good measure.
