Last week I got a call from a bloke claiming I’d crashed into his car and demanding £1500. He even knew roughly where I lived and wanted my full address. I played along, acted sorry and asked what he wanted from me exactly. When I asked why he needed my address if he already knew where I was, he got all aggressive, telling me not to mess about. So I gave him the address of the local police station instead. I reckon he googled it and quickly twigged that it was the cops. He asked why I’d given him that address, and I just said well, if I really hit your car like you say, why don’t we go there and file a report? He hung up straight after. The number was from the 210 area code.
