En fait, c’est un message automatisé d’une boîte qui s’appelle IOS SOLUTION. Ils précisent qu’ils appellent pour le compte de Fido, avec des offres commerciales à proposer. Le message est d’abord en français, puis en anglais, et à la fin, ils donnent la possibilité d’appuyer sur le 2 pour ne plus être contacté. So I ended up writing a long message in two languages, but after digging around, I finally got some answers. I rang the number myself to find out who it was, and it turned out to be a recorded message from a company called IOS SOLUTION. They said they were calling on behalf of Fido to offer new deals. The message then asks you to press 2 if you want to take your number off their contact list. They play the message first in French, then in English. Same thing happened to me a few months back, I got this long 4 paragraph message in English, and yep, it was from me. I already complained to Fido but they just laughed it off, saying no one there, even the managers, recognise that company or the number. HERE'S HOW YOU DEAL WITH THIS AND FIND SOME PEACE: Go to your call HISTORY, pick the NUMBER that called you, then you'll see options like 'call', 'send message' and 'more'. Choose 'more' and then hit 'add to block list'. By the way, blocking numbers like this is free, no limit on how many you put on there. A person mentioned somewhere that Fido might be using some foreign company for telemarketing. Though when I asked 4 months ago, they denied it outright. Weirdly, one user said they got a reply from Fido but when I called that number, it was just music until someone picked up and then there was a beep and the line was cut off.

Here’s how I managed to sort it out and stop the calls: Check your call log and find that number, then tap on it. You should see options like 'call', 'message', and 'more'. Click on 'more', then choose 'add to reject list'. The best part is it doesn’t cost anything to block any number this way. Someone else mentioned in the recent comments that this might be Fido contracting out sales calls to a foreign firm. Fido told me that wasn’t true when I asked months ago, but my own calls just go to busy tone, or long beeps and hang ups, no one actually speaks. Not very reassuring!
