This telephone number rang me, purporting to be from the Tax Office, insisting that my tax returns from 2008 to 2010 were being scrutinised. They demanded an immediate payment of £3,900, claiming that a certified letter had been dispatched but couldn't be delivered. When I refused to divulge any personal information, the bloke threatened that a police officer would be arriving at my residence within thirty minutes to take me into custody, then abruptly cut the call. I reached out to the genuine Tax Office and it turns out it’s all a complete con! I’ve reported this number to the authorities.
