I phoned to confirm if the company I was speaking to was RBC Bank. They categorically denied being RBC Bank, but hinted that they may have some association with them. However, we have no business dealings with RBC Bank, so their claim seems highly doubtful. I then inquired whether they possessed our mailing address for sending us any documents pertaining to their purpose of calling. To my suspicion, they responded negatively, so I elected not to provide them with our address. The call lacked professionalism, leading me to strongly believe it was a fraudulent attempt. In hindsight, I should have offered them the address of a local police station, so they could report themselves.

I was shouted at by an individual when I politely asked them to refrain from calling. He angrily responded, "Why would you tell me to stop? Persistently, I repeated that I had no knowledge of the person he mentioned and added an expletive to express my frustration. 😃

I have never had an actual conversation with them, but I can only assume they are attempting to contact someone else. Interestingly, if you want to provoke their anger, simply ask to speak with a supervisor, and just like that, they hang up the phone.
