Got a text saying "FreeMsg: Welcome to Uniqui!" with a link to some "unique" site. Then another message from 83463 saying a free trial of uniqu[###] from Lateral Profiles ends in 1 day and after that it’s £4 a week unless I text STOP. Tried replying STOP but since I’m on a pay-as-you-go plan, it wouldn’t let me send the text. I never signed up for this and I’m watching my bill closely. Fingers crossed my plan won’t let me send texts to these numbers, so they shouldn’t be able to charge me. Will keep an eye out, and if I do get charged I’ll be reporting it.

Got a text on 12 April 2020 from 83463 saying I'm signed up to something called UiniqU by lateral profiles Limited, charging me £4 a week. They gave a number to call for help and instructions to text STOP to 83463 if I wanted to cancel. Later that day I got another message reminding me about the £4 weekly fee and how to stop it. Problem is, I never signed up or contacted them at all.

I got a message from mytrainer saying they’d take £4.50 a week off me. They said I signed up with them but I never did. I rang my phone company straight away to block it. They said they’d sort it out but I still got charged in the end. Can someone explain why this happened?

Got a message saying I signed up for Jammitup at £4.50 a week from Finite Inc Global Ltd, which I never did until I texted STOP to 83463. Of course, I was worried I'd be charged £4.50 just for sending that text. Their customer service number is 03300535838. Feels like a total scam since you don’t get a proper warning about weekly charges and have to text STOP to cancel. After I texted, I got a confirmation saying I was unsubscribed. But how can I make sure these charges stop completely?

Received a couple of texts right after one another, both from 'Receipt' with the same number. One said something like: FreeMsg: Your subscription to [#]hdwallpapers.shop costs £4.50 weekly billed by Wahoo Limited, text STOP to 83463 to cancel. HELP? 03300538651. The other was similar but for the Jam Jar Club! Tried to text STOP but my phone warned it might incur charges, so I held back. Not sure if I’ve been billed already though.

While on my phone, a message suddenly appeared saying I'd subscribed to Global Videos, which I never agreed to. Shortly after, I got a text saying I’d be charged £4.50 weekly. I blocked the number, but then got another message telling me to text STOP to cancel the payments. Checked my phone bill and found multiple £4.50 charges had gone through. I rang O2 to have it stopped and asked them to escalate the matter with Ferdamia, the company taking the payments. I also reported them to Action Fraud and emailed the company asking them to delete my details from their system.

My missus spotted some fees from Taptronic and Abacus Synergy on her latest bill, like £4.50 and £3.00 every week! The frustrating bit is we never got any signup texts or anything from them, and we’ve never received any messages or content. Feels like a total rip-off. I’ve also noticed a £4.50 monthly ‘subscription’ charge on a different number of mine - again, I didn’t sign up for anything. Oddly, these charges only popped up after we switched our phone plan to O2. Could just be chance though.

BodyIn8 is a total ripoff - O2 sent me a bill on 24th Aug, turns out I accidentally signed up for a subscription through an app that day, which can only be cancelled by texting some premium number. I ignored it, didn’t get any messages until 24th Sept, when I also got a new O2 bill charging me £3 a week. O2 wouldn’t take any responsibility. I tried contacting 03300538661 MPS - basically the company these scammers hire to "investigate" to stay within the law. Not holding out much hope. Also sent a text to 7726 to report it but couldn’t attach a screenshot.

Mobi Planet is just another scam charging £4.50 a week. They flood their pages with ads to catch people out. You'll only get charged £4.50 if you don’t act fast and block payments through your mobile provider. This rubbish obviously makes folks less trusting of phone payments, so hopefully after loads of complaints, the big companies will crack down on this. First thing to do is get in touch with your provider. Usually, these texts come through at times when it’s hard to speak to anyone, like late Sunday. They don’t provide a direct line, only the overseas number 03300535858.

Since January, I've been getting texts saying I've signed up for FunnyVideos from Remote Games for £4.50 a week. The second message had a link to uk.wapstar, but I didn’t click on it. I’ve sent STOP texts and called 03300535843 but no luck. I also emailed [email protected], who keep telling me it’ll stop soon and that everything's by the book, so no refund is possible. So, here’s what I did after getting that message: 1. Freaked out a bit 2. Sent the message over to 7726 and did exactly what they said, then texted STOP to 83463. 3. Reported the whole thing to the ICO. 4. Tried ringing the number (0330.5) the next morning but no luck getting through. 5. Rang up Three, explained all the stuff I’d found out and praised how helpful they’d been. The guy immediately said there’s no chance of a refund at all. After a bit of going back and forth, he phoned the company and we managed to speak to Lynne. .more to come.

MobiPlanet. Pretty much the same story as someone else here. I only just noticed the text and saw that MobiPlanet charged me £22.50. My network (3) said they'd give me the money back, but I’m seriously considering legal action as this feels like straight up criminal behaviour.

I’ve also fallen for this scam, £4.50 a week gone. Doesn’t anyone else find it unfair that the phone companies profit from this though? They get a cut from all those premium texts so why would they bother looking out for us, the regular folks?

Got a message from Codazone last month but didnt answer cus I thought it was a scam and was worried about charges. Turns out it really was. They messaged again after but I ignored. O2 told me to pay £4.50 to block it but by then I’d lost £13.50 already. O2 finally blocked premium rates on my account now. They really ought to know about this scam by now and be stopping it without us having to pay for it.

I didnt call but got a text from FreeMsg sayin I’m signed up to [#]app.joinbodyin8[###] by BodyIn8 costing £3 each week unless I text STOP to 83463. It had HELP? 03300538661 on it. Three advised me to ring that number. They said phone weekdays only, Monday to Friday, but you can still cancel using your own phone. The number they gave is free to call.

Got a call from this firm earlier today. The main company behind all these brands is located in Cyprus - [#][#]lasevia[###]/ - so UK regulators can’t really do much against them. I contacted Three, and they promised to refund the £4.50 that was taken from my account as soon as they got my message. Hoping Three actually keep their word and put the money back in soon.

Got a text saying: Thanks for signing up to PlayPuzzles at £4.50 weekly from Codazone, reply STOP to 83463 to unsubscribe. HELP? 03300535853 At first, I figured it was some dodgy scam. But I called my network, Three, and saw the £4.50 was already on my bill. Had to send STOP to cancel. Three were pretty helpful and gave me a refund for both the £4.50 and the STOP text. Turns out it comes from those annoying pop-up ads when you’re just surfing the web!

Got a text on 0/02/18 from Mobi planet saying I’d signed up for a free trial from MobiPlane. It said the free msg lasts 24 hours, then costs £4.50 every week until you text STOP to 83463. The sender didn’t allow replies, so I couldn’t respond and just forgot about it. Then received the same message again later. I rang my network, 3, who were really helpful. They refunded me £18 and set a limit on my account so this wouldn’t happen again. Honestly think all mobile networks should automatically block messages like these to protect customers from getting scammed.

LoadMobi has began taking 4.50 weekly from my account! I contacted Three but they say they cant help, yet the money's still coming out! How is it possible for your phone to be used to pay for stuff like this? Seems like it should be against the law!

I had to ring Three because there were some strange fees on my bill that I didn’t understand. Unsubscribing isn’t straightforward since it’s a premium service. Luckily, Three were really helpful. They removed the charges from January and February, and promised to keep an eye on my account for anything outside my plan. It’s really risky having data on while using these ‘free’ games. I’m planning to report this to Ofcom and also the cyber crime folks.

Was reading a local news page when a pop up ad just took over my screen. I didn’t click on anything and just shut the browser down. Suddenly got a text about some subscription and to text stop if I want out. Been ringing them up to get my money back, and honestly, it’s been a nightmare. Hope anyone else dealing with this has better luck!

On the 1st of October 2018, I got a text from MobiPlanet saying I’m signed up to their service and it costs £4.50 every week from UME Limited until I reply STOP to 83463. I’ve been charged £4.50 since December 11th, 2017, but have no clue what this is for. When I sent STOP back, I also tried ringing their 03300 number but ended up just getting a unknown number that didn’t connect me to anyone. I contacted Three, who just gave me the same number and told me to get in touch with the PSA instead. Quite frustrating really.

I rang PSA afterwards, and they gave me the very same number. When I said I couldn’t get through, they tried and actually managed to connect. Then I used my landline, and at last, I got through myself. I spoke with a man who told me to send an email to help@umelimited[###] for more info and maybe a refund, so I did. Still waiting on their response though. But when I tried ringing that number again from my landline, the call just dropped after a long silence. Feels like they’ve spotted my number and are just hanging up on me.

Its pretty much a rip off. The UME limited site doesnt show any proper address or phone number. What boggles my mind is how the mobile companies can just ignore this and dont block them. Payforit is supposed to be a shared service by all networks but they wont even bother taking complaints and just tell us to reach out to the paid provider. Totally annoying if you ask me.

For months I didn’t notice I was being hit with extra fees. I found out O2 actually blocks direct phone charges now, which honestly, they should’ve done by default ages ago. You’d think these fees would require your permission before being added. I’m still hoping they sort out a refund though, haven’t heard back yet.

Got a text from this firm called Playpuzzles saying I’d be billed £4.50 weekly. I rang 3 mobile who took off the £4.50 cost and even phoned the company with me on the call. The business, Codazone from London, couldn’t say what subscription I supposedly signed up for because their system wasn’t working. The text came at 3 in the morning while I was asleep, so no way I could’ve accidentally clicked anything. Clearly a scam, but the charge still appeared on my 3 mobile bill. Thankfully 3 sorted it out quickly and I’ll be reporting both the number and the company.

Got a text from LoadedMobi saying I’d joined some gaming subscription charging £4.50 weekly. They mentioned the first day was free and I was able to cancel it by texting STOP to 83463. I also rang their support line and they told me I probably clicked an ad that automatically entered my number. Pretty sure I did it by mistake while my phone was in my pocket, so gotta watch out with that!

Got a text saying I'm signed up to Nuyoo gym with meal plans for just £3 a week. Funny enough, anyone who knows me would laugh because I'd never go for anything like that. They said to text stop to 83463 to opt out but the messages just won't go through. Since the phone's on a shared account with my wife handling the bills, we’ve got to spend ages going to the EE shop together to fix this mess. Proper hassle.

I got hit with a £4.50 fee after getting a text and cancelling it within 10 mins. This tends to happen if you don’t close the tab in time. After a bit of googling, I called EE and they were really helpful. They blocked any future subs for me and put me in touch with Codazone. They just asked for my address and said they’d send a refund by cheque pretty soon. Proper good service, definitely suggest calling your network provider right away if this happens.

I noticed that since around mid September, I'd been losing £3 every week from a charge labelled 'GBP3,IM,Nuyoo,helpline 03300535869'. Decided to contact '3' customer support online to figure out what was going on. After a pretty long back and forth, they ended up refunding me all the money and assured me they’d stop any further deductions. Really pleased with how they handled it.

I’m 15 and still at school, and today I got a message from my mum saying my EE phone bill had suddenly gone up by £31 because of some site called “jamitup” and something named funnyvids. I’ve never even been on those sites, not a clue what they are until now. It even claimed I accessed them three times, which isn’t true at all - it showed me logging in on 4th November at 6:08, but I was actually helping my aunt with some things then. This has really messed me up, feels like a total scam and I’m proper stressed about it.

I found myself in a similar predicament. I sent a text saying STOP, yet they still managed to charge me a whopping £9.00 for those pesky messages. I reached out to EE, and to their credit, they cancelled the fees and put a block on the number. But wouldn't you know it, mere moments later I received two more texts! Luckily, I managed to block them on my phone, but I'm left wondering what prevents them from coming back with a different number next time?

I received a rather unexpected message where they expressed gratitude for my supposed subscription to 'hilarious clips', which apparently comes at a cost of £4.50 weekly! I've reached out to my service provider, and lo and behold, they've already deducted a payment without my consent. I’ve certainly not agreed to anything or authorised any payments. The entity behind this mix-up is known as Payforit, and their contact number is 03300535847.

Stay active with [#]nuyoo[###] at £3 a week. First day’s free. To opt out, text stop to 83463. Need help? 03300535869'. Bit strange as I didn’t sign up for any fitness thing.

These lot are the same bunch behind Accidents Direct, just a load of con artists. If your kid has taken part in one of their competitions, they trick them into signing a contract which legally binds them, even though minors can't legally agree to that. Don’t reply with a stop message, that’ll just drain your wallet. You should ring them up at 03300535838. JAMITUP and AccidentsDirect are both run by Abacus Synergy. Spread the word - Accidents Direct are the ones to blame here. Make sure to report them to your local councillor, we need to put an end to these dodgy firms.

I just found out I've been getting billed £4.50 every week for like 11 weeks and didn’t even realise it. I got in touch with EE who gave me the number for the company behind the charges so I could cancel it myself. When I called, I was given two choices: opt out or talk to a person. Heads up, don’t go for the opt-out option. I asked to speak to someone and they agreed to refund me the whole amount through PayPal or a cheque in the post, since I never actually used their service (which I had no clue about to begin with). I went with PayPal, fingers crossed I see the money soon.

Today I got a random text about this jammitup thing and replied with ‘stop’ to avoid any charges, apparently it would have cost me £4.50. After that, I called my mobile network, Three, and the person on the other end was kind enough to contact Abacus Synergy themselves. They managed to get my £4.50 refunded. So I’d say that was a pretty good outcome!

Since April, my bills have included charges for some game club subscription - which I've never even used. I rang EE and asked them to block it. They said I had to get in touch with Codazone, a name I wasn’t familiar with at all. When I called Codazone, they claimed the service started on 1st July 2017, but couldn’t explain why my bill had been charging me months before that. Then, when I pressed them for the actual activation date, they suddenly changed it to 5th July 2017. Proper dodgy!

Right, so I never actually signed up for GameClub365 which charges £4.50 weekly. I reckon it's one of those annoying pop-ups that appear while gaming, and I must've clicked on their ad without meaning to. I rang their customer service on 03300 535829 to request my money back for the two weeks they withdrew cash without my go-ahead. They flat out refused any refund, but I’m not letting it go, I’m gonna push this issue further.

Yeah, I had a call from them as well. I’d suggest ringing your phone provider first so they can block the number. After that, give 0300 303 0020 a ring - they’ll put in a complaint on your behalf against the company and hopefully sort out a refund. Then, get in touch with the Information Commissioner’s Office either by phone or online, and lodge a complaint about these scammers. The more people report them, the tougher action they’ll face. Make sure you say you never agreed to anything and didn’t authorise any bank transactions to them.

This has happened to me too, and I never signed up for anything. I phoned them but got told "THE SMS dept is closed" and that they’d ring me back on Monday.
