I got a call from a woman who said her name was Dineo Mahasela and she was ringing from Cell C, trying to give me a Samsung Galaxy J5. She seemed to know a lot about me, except when she wanted my bank account number, that’s when I got suspicious. I told her to ring me back in a couple of minutes and then she just vanished and never called again...

Got a call from that same number and it freaked me out a bit. The woman on the line somehow had my account info and she said she was ringing from Cellc. She told me she wanted to offer me a contract phone through them. Honestly, it left me quite worried.

Today, I got a call from a woman using this number, saying she's from Cellc. She told me I'd be getting a contract phone from them. What freaked me out is she seemed to know loads about me, even stuff like my bank details. I'm really worried and don't know what to do. Can anyone help?

I got a call from this number too, and it was like they knew all my info. The guy said he was calling from Cell C with some phone contract offer, then asked for my bank details. I told him no way, I don’t mess around with my bank info. Just be careful everyone, these things aren’t to be trusted.

this number just rang me but i didnt pick up. got this spam protection app on my iphone and it flagged the call as "spam caller" right when it came through. pretty handy app, saved me a bother for sure.

Yesterday I got a call from someone saying they were from CELL C, telling me my number was picked for their new Samsung giveaway, even tho I’m with MTN. They already had my full name and ID number, but wanted to check my address and bank info before sending the phone next day. I refused to give any details and told them to ring back on Monday instead.

They wanted my address first and then went on to check my bank account info and address, but I never actually gave them the okay for my bank account number.

Picked up the phone and all I heard was music playing in the background. I hung up straight away, but then they called me four more times in the next quarter of an hour. Really annoying!

It's really annoying how my private details get passed on to these callers without me agreeing to it.
