80845 Summary (Read all comments)

Phone number ☎️ 80845 👆 is reported as a persistent scam predominantly affecting Three UK customers, involving unsolicited premium text messages that incur unwanted charges around £4.50 each. Many users have been billed repeatedly without consent or clear notification, with difficulties in stopping messages due to failed "STOP" commands and poor response from the charging companies. Refunds are inconsistently handled; some customers secured reimbursements via persistent contact with Three, while others faced unresponsive or obstructive behaviour from both their provider and the billing companies. Users are advised to regularly check bills for unexpected charges, report incidents to the Phone-paid Services Authority, and escalate complaints with their provider. Blocking the numbers alone is ineffective, as charges continue even without direct interaction. Vigilance and prompt action are essential to mitigate financial losses.

Just noticed my account got debited £4.50 and I’m not sure what for, feels like a rip-off.

I noticed an unexpected charge of £4.50 on my bill, so I decided to ring up 3 for clarification. They provided me with a number to text with the word STOP. Shortly after, I received confirmation via text that everything was sorted. To my surprise, they've also refunded me £23!

I just had a word with those blokes, and they informed me that they’ve put a stop to the messages! Absolutely outrageous, if you ask me!

I've been with Three for a while now, and I couldn’t quite fathom why my bill kept creeping over the expected amount every couple of months. After doing a bit of digging, I discovered I’ve been slapped with a £4.50 charge from a company I wasn’t even aware of until I stumbled across this thread while searching for the number. I’m determined to get to the bottom of this issue. Interestingly, I haven’t come across anyone yet who has managed to snag a refund from them. It would really be encouraging to hear if someone has successfully reclaimed their money.

I've attempted to halt this pesky PSMS by firing off a 'STOP' message, yet it keeps bouncing back, suggesting the number's non-existent. In the meantime, I'm still being hit with charges from Three. It feels like we're being scammed by these fraudsters!

Absolutely fed up with these thieving scoundrels! It’s beyond me how often I find myself being fleeced. Every single month, without fail, I’m hit with some charge or another that leaves me feeling utterly drained. And the so-called support? Useless - they don’t lift a finger to assist. I’m at my wits’ end!

It's unbelievable that this is ongoing! I've been billed for three consecutive months now, despite the fact that I've neither responded to anything nor signed up for any services. Surely, this must breach some sort of legal boundary. Just picture if I made a casual call to an unknown number and was slapped with a £4.50 fee every single time; that would absolutely not fly! I’m planning to get in touch with Three very soon to sort this out.

Much like others here, I’ve fallen prey to the dubious antics of 80845 and their so-called Vista-fun.com, having been fleeced for £4.50 each month for four consecutive months - that’s £18 in total! It’s nothing short of a swindle! I had a chat with Three today, but they seemed to want to fob me off by suggesting I reach out to Vista-fun for a refund. I made it clear that I would close my mobile account if this wasn’t resolved, and lo and behold, I have now secured my refund. This situation really ought to be brought to the attention of the relevant authorities, as I can't help but think there’s someone out there, perhaps in a lavish estate, relishing the profits from their nefarious scheme. Just imagine - £18 multiplied by 10,000 individuals equals a staggering £180,000! Not too shabby for a mere four months of unscrupulous activities, and I reckon there are many more victims still out there.

Have a proper look at your bill - I thought I was getting charged for calls to Europe from the UK and France, but it turned out to be those irritating 80845 premium texts. I rang my network provider, and they told me to send a text saying ‘STOP’ to that number, then they have to reply back and stop the charges. Another option is to email help@megapromof### with your details asking them to stop, and they’re obliged to do so. The lesson here is don’t just guess what charges are for, check properly - assuming things just ends up making you look daft!

Since March this year, 80845 has been taking money from me and I only just noticed now. Guess I should start looking over my bills more often!

I’ve gone ahead and blocked this number on my phone. I also attempted to send a ‘STOP’ text to the number listed on the Vista Fun site, but it seems my messages just won’t go through. I've tried it three times and still no luck.

I've fallen victim to some dodgy characters! I reached out to Three and they advised me to shoot a text saying STOP ALL and drop an email to [email protected] to seek a refund. I'm going to send that email, but to be honest, I'm not very optimistic about it 😡😡😡

I've noticed that I've been billed £4.50 a month for the past three months from this number without realising it until now. After reaching out to Three, they provided me with an email address to request a refund: [email protected]. I've emailed them thrice in the last couple of months, yet I've received no reply and still haven’t seen a penny back. My mobile provider, Three, has been less than helpful, despite me calling them three times about this issue. Today, I'll be ringing them once more, as I was abruptly cut off from the chat line yesterday and no one has got back to me since.

Absolutely shifty, if you ask me. I barely realised they’d been taking money from my account for a good three months. I stumbled across this number - 0800 157 7502 - which they claim belongs to a company named First Call that runs a call centre for VEOO, the culprits behind the deductions. When I had a bleat with a chap named Ben, he assured me that no more charges would be applied. It’s a bit rich, really; he’s content to be part of a dodgy operation, merely clocking in for his wages at a call centre. If this financial nonsense carries on, I’ll definitely be back for another rant.

I've been trying to figure this out for the last three months and ended up reaching out to 3 on three separate occasions. I never signed up for anything, nor did I receive any messages. When I spoke to 3, they advised me to get in touch with the company directly and unfortunately, they used my spam email for that. Can't believe I haven't heard a peep from them! First thing tomorrow, I'll be calling 3 again to get this all sorted.

I managed to snag a hassle-free refund from Three just yesterday afternoon, and I was on the call for a mere quarter of an hour! It appears there’s a bit of inconsistency among their advisors-some are willing to issue refunds, while others aren’t so generous. I referenced this very discussion during my call and explained that it seemed there was a little hiccup on Three's end. Made it clear that they’d dropped the ball in letting it come to this. Don’t lose heart; keep at it and you could be in for some luck with your refund!

I've been inundated with a couple of texts from 80845 (Vista Fun). It seems that Three UK has already taken £9 from my account. I tried reaching out to Three UK, but they flatly denied my appeal for a refund. I also attempted to get in touch with Vista Fun on two occasions, but I've yet to hear back from them. Any advice on how I might halt these annoying messages and reclaim my money?

I looked over my phone bill and noticed a £4.50 charge from 80845. I’d actually got the texts ages ago and already put a block on that number!!

I took a peek at my statement and lo and behold, there was a £4.50 charge from 80845! The pesky texts had come through ages ago, and I’d already blocked them on my device, yet the charges kept creeping in. So, I reached out to Three for some clarification and, thankfully, they were quite accommodating and promised to refund me. They even ran a check with Ofcom, who informed me that it was indeed a short code message. They advised I reply to 80845 with 'STOP ALL' and to report the unwanted message to Ofcom via their spam reporting number, which is 7726. Quite the hassle, but hopefully, it’ll be sorted soon!

I’ve been avoiding this utter rubbish for the last six months, and somehow, I've been billed £4.50 six times! Yet again, it’s with Three. Their suggestion was to drop a text saying ‘stop’ and reach out to the con artists via email. I made it clear I won’t be doing any such thing and insisted on speaking to a supervisor. Honestly, Three shares in the blame with these crooks!

I'm with Three, and I've encountered a similar issue. They’re not budging on the refund! They've suggested I reach out to the company for a resolution, but it's like sending messages into the void-their email responses are non-existent, and they refuse to handle refunds via phone. It's utterly exasperating! I've ended up losing £9 because they took their sweet time to process my cancellation, resulting in a second charge for the month. What a nuisance!

I've had a rather similar incident to many folks here. I've never subscribed to these messages that are demanding £4.50 a pop. Thankfully, Three were rather understanding and refunded two of those pesky £4.50 fees, along with the 10p we incurred just to text ‘STOP’ to opt out. Quite the hassle, really!

Absolutely infuriating, isn’t it? It’s downright disgraceful how these lowlifes keep getting away with it. One really has to wonder why law enforcement and mobile service companies aren’t taking more action to clamp down on this nonsense!

I've come across the same charge on my account as well. I'm a customer of 3 too, and when I reached out to them, they suggested I shoot an email to the company for a refund since they can't process it themselves. However, I'm rather hesitant to do that as I worry it might mean sharing more personal details. I'm absolutely livid as it seems this is a widespread issue with 3, which feels more than just coincidental. I plan to have another chat with 3 and point them to this site. Additionally, I'll be notifying the PSA regarding this breach of data. To be perfectly clear, I did not consent to any subscription nor did I approve these charges.

I found myself being billed £4.50 for a service I never requested! I reached out to my provider, Three, and to their credit, they were quite reasonable and promised to refund the £4.50. They also suggested I send a text saying STOP to the pesky number. Shortly after, I got a message confirming my unsubscription. It's rather appalling given that I didn’t actually sign up in the first place.

I’d urge anyone who has had the misfortune of falling victim to these dodgy operators to lodge a complaint with the PSA Authority. We ought to band together to shut down these fraudsters for good!

I've come across some unsettling information suggesting that individuals from Cyprus are colluding with certain businesses here in the UK for financial gain. I strongly advise you to terminate your current mobile contract and obtain a new phone number through your provider to safeguard yourself. It seems like a wise move to prevent any potential issues.

I've just noticed a deduction of £4.50 from my account for an apparent subscription I never even authorised. It's rather baffling, as I'd never even come across this company until I took a gander at my phone statement. Curious that so many others seem to be with the Three network as well, don’t you think? Quite peculiar, if you ask me. 🤔

Beware of this phone number; it's definitely a scam! They fleece you for £4.50 per text without providing any service in return. I was informed by my provider, Three, that you've got to opt out of their marketing messages within a day of receiving them, otherwise they’ll begin billing you. I found that out the hard way! This practice is not only unethical, but it also violates GDPR regulations. I ended up having multiple payments attempted before I finally reached my billing limit and they were unable to charge me anymore. If you’ve encountered this issue too, I strongly recommend reporting it to the PSA.

I find it quite baffling that this practice isn't seen as outright illegal - it feels akin to thieving, if you ask me. It’s high time we had the means to bring these individuals to justice. Their website is overflowing with all sorts of legal jargon, which only suggests they’re playing the system to their advantage, showing a blatant disregard for the everyday challenges faced by regular folks with modest incomes. Thankfully, I've not incurred any charges yet, but I’m left in a bit of a quandary about how to prevent this from happening in the future.

I'm really counting on my mobile provider to put an end to this nonsense. If not, I might just take the plunge and switch from 3, perhaps even changing my number entirely. This isn't what I agreed to!

I've noticed an unwelcome charge on my bill and contacted 3 for assistance. However, as others have mentioned, they're utterly unhelpful. They reckon they can't block the charges or issue a refund, and the only advice was to send a text to the number demanding it to stop. Sadly, my texts won’t go through! It appears this will be a recurring deduction each week, and I’m fortunate to have spotted it during the first week. My phone's barely a week old, to boot. So frustrating!

I've noticed a deduction of £4.50 from my account with 3 for a service I never actually agreed to. When I reached out to their customer support, they were quite unhelpful and simply instructed me to text STOP to 80845. I've attempted to do so, but my message refuses to send. I'm a bit anxious about whether this will keep happening in the future.

I’ve just been in touch with Three, as I’ve spotted three deductions of £4.50 from this particular number. They advised me to send them an email requesting a refund, which I’ve already done. Additionally, they suggested that I report the number to the regulatory body at WWW.PSAUTHORITY.ORG.UK, particularly if I didn't consent to any subscription. I strongly encourage everyone to take similar action. Cheers, Ewan.

I've noticed that my phone bill included charges for three messages from this company. After reaching out to O2, they were kind enough to refund the full amount. It’s clear to me that this is a scam!

Were you ever able to get your refund sorted? I had a chat with O2 and they seemed rather unhelpful, claiming there was nothing they could do. They wouldn't even assist in stopping further texts or charges. All they did was pass me a number for the company itself, suggesting I ring them up directly to resolve the issue. Quite frustrating, isn't it?

If anyone's encountering issues with this, I strongly urge you to reach out to your mobile provider without delay. They should promptly issue a refund and prevent any further charges from that "terra mobile" outfit. Earlier today, I got in touch with O2, and they're sorting out a refund that will reflect on my upcoming bill. I mean, seriously, £3.75 for a load of rubbish texts? I can easily receive nonsense messages from mates for nothing, so who on earth would opt for this service?

Just got a message about some so-called 'Mega Promo' holiday deals, directing me to their site at megapromo.co.uk/login. The thing is, I never even registered with them! I texted back to cancel, but strangely enough, I still got hit with a charge of £3.83. What a right hassle!

I've been receiving texts from this number weekly for what feels like ages now. They keep urging me to get in touch to join some competition. I haven't responded to any of their messages, yet I've recently found out that they've been siphoning off £4.50 from my bank account every week without my permission. I'm currently reaching out to them to sort out the matter and hopefully reclaim my funds. The company in question is mobistaweb, and you can find them at [email protected]. If you're facing a similar issue, the first thing I'd recommend is to get in touch with your mobile provider and ask them to block this company right away.
