Reports on phone number 8004800186
3 yearsI received a correspondence instructing me to reach out to this number regarding my application for a QVC credit card. When I managed to speak to someone, they requested my social security number. I expressed my discomfort with sharing that information and asked if there was an alternative form of identification I could provide instead. Unfortunately, they insisted I needed to furnish my SS# and, albeit hesitantly, I complied. However, after a brief hold, they returned only to request the same details again! I pointed out that I had already provided it and decided to terminate the call. The number I dialled was (800) 480-0186, and the representative I spoke with seemed to have a foreign accent, possibly of Indian origin. I'm seriously worried about having disclosed my social security number in this manner.4 yearsI recently received a curious letter from Synchrony Bank, requesting that I ring them to confirm my identity in relation to a Sam's Club Credit Card application. When I picked up, the lady on the other end claimed to be calling from Manila in the Philippines. She only asked for my name, but when I refused to provide my full Social Security number, she pressed for the last four digits instead. It all felt off to me, especially since I'm already a holder of a Sam's Card. I told her it sounded like a scam, and she abruptly thanked me and ended the call. Quite dodgy, if you ask me!Synchrony BankManilaPhilippines4 yearsI received a letter instructing me to reach out to this number for some further details. It's quite baffling, to be honest. I’m unsure how my details ended up with them, and I certainly don’t recall expressing any interest in such a product. Just wanted to share this experience, as it feels a bit concerning.JCPenney4 yearsIt seems like someone's trying to fish for my personal details to commit identity theft.
