Rang me twice, but there was nobody on the line.

I received a rather dodgy call from a bloke with a thick accent purporting to be from Visa. He said my card had been used earlier today at half four in the morning for some sort of E-bay transaction. He insisted that I fetch my card to confirm some details. I mentioned that I was in the midst of looking at my online banking to cross-check what he was saying. He kept repeating “you can just check your account” three times before abruptly ending the call. Upon checking, there were no fresh charges on my Visa account.

I received a call that inquired about my husband, who sadly passed away a decade ago, and then they rudely asked for me as well before abruptly ending the conversation! Very peculiar!

I recently had a right dodgy call from some chancer who insisted that our Visa card had been nicked and that it was being used to purchase mobile phones on eBay. His voice was all a-flutter, as if he thought I’d buy into his panicky tale. The kicker? We don't even have a Visa! As soon as I pointed that out, he abruptly hung up. Clearly, he was after my credit card details to line his own pockets. Total con artist behaviour.

I receive these calls consistently, a couple of times a week, typically during the evening hours. The background chatter resembles that of an Asian call centre. This morning, for instance, they rang me at around 7:00am - absolutely infuriating! I’ve stopped picking up; I just let it ring until I get a busy tone and then I disconnect. Is there any other course of action I could take? My number is supposedly registered on the 'no call' list.

The phone buzzed at a rather ungodly hour of 7:15am. Honestly, who on earth is calling at that time? Only harbingers of unfortunate tidings, it seems. Noticed it was one of those 1-800 numbers, so I opted to ignore it. Pleased to discover it’s just a scam. A mix of relief and exasperation, really.

I received a call from this number, and I tried greeting them three times with a simple "hello," but there was only silence on the other end. Then suddenly, I heard a clicking sound followed by that irritating fast busy tone. What on earth is going on? It's so frustrating!

I've just received a call from someone claiming to be from Google, but I'm convinced they're nothing more than a con artist. The moment I picked up the phone, their attitude was appalling-very rude indeed if I dared to question their nonsense. Rest assured, I've reported this to Google. Also, be wary of another number from the 902 region: 902-201-1837; it's the same dodgy character.

Rang at 7:39 am today. I spotted on another site that this could be linked to a visa scam. Honestly, who in their right mind would call at that hour? Naturally, they didn’t leave any voicemail. I’ve made it a rule to only pick up calls from numbers I know now. I’m utterly fed up with all this nonsense. It feels like no matter how many of these numbers you block, a fresh one pops up like clockwork!
