I just noticed a £20 charge from 700374065 on my bill and I have no clue what it’s for. Does anyone know anything about it?

Im fine with paying a bit extra for charity donations but not if it means ringing a premium rate number. Its proper cheeky, honestly, how they take the mick like that when folks are just trying to be kind. They should use a freephone line instead, wouldnt that be better? I reckon they can do without me if its gonna be like this again. It’s pretty awful to profiteer off donations like that.

Spotted a weird charge on my bank statement from a direct debit, so I called my mobile company. They just gave me a premium rate number but couldn’t explain who actually took the money. Luckily someone else mentioned it was a donation for cancer research linked to the Bake Off. Totally agree, banks should show what the payment is for right on the statement. Life gets hectic and we don’t always keep track of every single donation we’ve made.

I gave some money to the cancer charity linked to Celebrity Bake Off. If that’s true, then it’s alright, but like someone else said, it’s really important to have the number clear on your bill, otherwise it seems a bit suspicious.
