I got a txt from 66299 saying I’m signed up and will be billed twice a month. How do I stop this? The number 01394786019 was also in the txt and something about s.p galaner. Anyone knows what this is? Need help!

I've noticed this number has appeared on my statement, charging me thrice for my internet service, and quite frankly, I was completely unaware of the number associated with my account until I rummaged through my paperwork. How is it even possible for a company to take funds from my account when it’s not linked to a mobile service? And what’s the story behind them obtaining my number? I've raised a formal complaint with my provider to halt any further transactions and to secure a refund for these unwarranted fees.

I've gotten a couple of texts this month on my 3 network 4G router from 64640 charging me £9 - watch out for this. I'll ring them from a landline so they can't send texts to my phone. How on earth does the regulator think this is fair or not a scam? They’re totally pointless.

I couldn't help but notice that my phone bill has crept up unusually high this month. Upon taking a closer look, I realised that there were charges for texts I don't even recall sending. Astonishingly, I've been billed three separate times by that particular number.

I just noticed an extra £4.40 taken from my Direct Debit. How can they possibly access my account when I'm on a plan with 3? I reached out to my provider about this, and thankfully, they were incredibly helpful. I've gone ahead and sorted the cancellation of that Direct Debit.

Same here, keep getting those annoying paid text msgs I never signed up for. I’m with the comment from 26th May, it’s mad that the regulator just lets them get away with it even after loads of people complain.

Make sure to report these scams to 'Action Fraud'. It’s the main national UK service for dealing with scams by phone, text, email, post, and even those annoying pop-ups. They gather info on these scams and actually look into them, so sometimes they even catch the culprits! Also, don’t be shy to complain loudly to your phone provider and push for a refund if you lost any money. Keep at it, don’t take no for an answer! Although, if you installed a suspicious app that your antivirus or firewall missed, getting your cash back might be trickier.

Got a text from sellmylivestock, which we normally use, saying 64640:FreeMsg:Welcome to MoneyoffAlerts costing £4.50 per alert max 3 per month. Text stop to 64640 to opt out. SP: Panadema Services Helpline:01239544015. I’ve tried texting stop but it doesn’t go through. Rang Vodafone and they’ve blocked these scammers for me. Vodafone told me if you report it quickly, they’ll refund those first few texts if the company refuses. So best thing is to contact your phone provider right away.

I've found myself getting charged multiple times by the number 64640 for texts I never signed up for. I reached out to Three, and I must say, their customer service was top-notch-they managed to block the number for me and even issued a credit. It turns out this number is linked to a company named Dempan Ltd, located in Limassol, Cyprus. I tried to get in touch with them regarding a refund, but they outright refused to return my money, which totals £63. I've gone ahead and reported them to the ICO as well.

I've flagged this issue, yet I'm still seeing £4.50 fees appearing three times each month. I'm really fed up with this - does anyone know how I can put a stop to it?

Just head to your settings and block premium texts, or give your network a ring to ask them to put a stop to any extra charges, so you don’t get billed more.

64640. What a load of scams. How is it even allowed for complete strangers to send me texts where I have to reply 'stop' or else I'll be charged? Honestly, mobile networks and Ofcom really ought to ban this sort of thing.

I got a message claiming that I had enrolled in a service, but I definitely haven’t. I thought about replying with 'stop', but then I noticed there might be a fee involved, so I thought better of it. What steps should I take now to ensure they don’t end up charging me?

I got two texts almost back to back, the first one didn’t show a number, just said Verify and had a pin in it. Then I got another message saying something like FreeMsg: You’ve joined Rollbackdiscounts alert service, costing £4.50 per message, up to 3 a month unless you text stop to 64640. Got texts from 64640 for a while now, on and off over the past few months. I’ve tried replying with STOP like they say, and it stops the messages for a couple of weeks but then they come back again. It’s really worrying, especially thinking about older people who might get tricked by these scammers. The phone companies and laws should do more to shield folks since it’s obviously a big issue.

I've had a right nuisance with this company, having received four messages from them. I reached out early in March, requesting them to cease all communication, hoping that would put an end to it. However, upon checking my phone later, I was dismayed to find I'd been billed for two more messages this month at a whopping £4.50 a pop! I've now lodged a complaint with my mobile provider and have texted them "stop" once more today. This kind of behaviour is absolutely unacceptable; it feels like outright theft!

Got a text from 64640 saying I’d signed up for some “roll discount” thing and they’re charging me £4.50 three times a month. I never signed up for anything. At first, I was worried they’d keep taking money, so I texted STOP and it said it was cancelled, but they even charged me for sending the stop message! It’s a proper rip off, should be blocked. Fingers crossed I don’t hear from them again. Really wanna know how they got hold of my number in the first place.

It's the same old tale, isn’t it? Just yesterday, I found myself in the thick of it again. How on earth are these things permitted to happen unchecked? It’s baffling how there's no oversight or intervention! Honestly, it’s high time someone puts a stop to this nonsense!

64640 I got the very same message. I even rang my provider to block any more texts like that. After looking into it, I recalled I had downloaded two apps - Decibal X and Toolbox. The message popped up the day after I installed them. Neither app says anything about getting texts in their description. Has anyone else received texts after downloading these or similar apps? This is where I reckon the messages are coming from. If it’s not the apps, then maybe their developer site, Galaner Ltd. They seem to hide behind a website called "Just-Discounts".

I got a text like the one mentioned and it won’t let me send a STOP reply. I called the Leeds number and asked them to stop the messages. They said they can’t stop them directly but will pass my details to their investigation team, which takes about 72 hours. They promised someone would contact me within that time to confirm it’s been cancelled. Ive blocked the number 64640 so I shouldn’t get any more texts from them. I also phoned Three, my mobile provider, and asked them to make sure I’m not charged for these messages. This really shouldn’t be happening.

A mate of mine at work got caught in the same predicament as many others have mentioned - he found out he’d unwittingly signed up for notifications costing £4.50 for every three texts. I just got a rather alarming message from 64640 claiming that I’ve signed up for their services (which I absolutely haven’t) and that I’ll be billed monthly at £4.50. Upon checking my phone bill, to my shock, I found that I’d been charged this exact amount! I immediately contacted my mobile provider and flagged this number as spam, which they duly noted. However, I’m still in the dark about whether I’ll get my money back. So, a word of caution: if you come across 64640 or even 80250, steer clear as they’re clearly up to no good! They suggest replying with ‘stop’, but I cannot stress enough - don’t engage with them at all. And for goodness’ sake, keep an eye on your mobile bills!

Got a text ages ago saying free msg from moneysavingalerts, £4.50 per message or whatever, and to text STOP to opt out. I looked it up and found warnings not to text stop as they’d still charge you £4.50 - seemed dodgy so I ignored it. Received a text from 64640 claiming I signed up for alerts that cost £4.50 monthly, up to three charges a month. Who on earth would agree to that? I definitely didn’t subscribe! They said to text STOP but my message never went through! The Phone-paid Services Authority (PSA) does list firms using this number and advises to contact them directly to unsubscribe. I’ve already emailed but no answer so far. Luckily, my phone bill has a zero cap, so fingers crossed they can’t take any money. I’m on a pension, so honestly, I just can’t afford this!

You might want to look up Dawn Scott at 1 Paget Street, Gillingham ME7 5ER. She seems to be a director of Zonnda Ltd, which deals with software development. I got the same message too, and if I don’t manage to get my money back, I’m thinking of going there myself to sort it out, including claiming for petrol, interest, and bother caused. It all seems a bit dodgy since the director and company have changed addresses loads in the past few years and there’s been talk of possible striking off notices as well.

The only site I used recently was Thorntons, I gave them my mobile for a Christmas order so I guess they sold it or something. Really annoyed about this.

Honestly, if it wasnt for the overdraft protection, they wouldve just taken cash straight from my account. Claimin I signed up for some "MoneyOffAlerts" service which I definitely never did. Total rip off!

I honestly can't recall getting a call or a text, but I noticed a charge of £3.75 on my bill. I reached out to O2 for assistance, but they were completely unhelpful. They claimed I must have accidentally clicked on something online, which I definitely haven't done, nor have I signed up for anything. It’s baffling!

I've recently come across a service called MoneySavingsAlerts which is supposedly £4.50 per alert, limited to three a month. However, I've not signed up for anything at all. Before that, I received a text from FreeMsg with a unique PIN that mentioned to disregard it if I hadn’t asked for it-so, obviously, I ignored it. I’m now a bit concerned about whether I might be hit with any charges unexpectedly. Has anyone else had a similar experience?

They took £4.50 out of my account several times. I kept wondering why my phone bill was so expensive. Complete rubbish.

They charge you £3.50 for every single text. Like someone else mentioned here before, contact your mobile provider and have them block the number, then maybe (stress on maybe) you’ll get your money back. Honestly, loads of folks have been phoning and emailing Zonnda calling them out for being total scammers! Still waiting to see if they actually take the hint! Don’t let these con artists nick your cash, the government and taxes are bad enough as it is!

They keep taking money from me every month. Somehow they managed to get through my block on premium texts and numbers. Watch your phone bills closely.

Vodafone just cant seem to sort out these texts and fees from this number. They claim it’s blocked but I still end up paying for it. The Phone Paid Services Authority is always unreachable and there's no other choice but to either switch providers or switch to pay-as-you-go. 64640

ted the worst! looks like this firm might be connected to vodafone but when i contacted them about blocking the messages, they said they could but still couldn’t prevent money being taken from my credit balance. they even told me to phone them at a premium charge and politely request to stop! absolute nonsense. i’m definitely thinking of switching my network.

I frequently get texts from this number urging me to reply with 'STOP', which I simply refuse to do for clear reasons. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to put a stop to this con artist? I'm all ears!

I've been receiving messages that leave me quite baffled:
"
You've signed up for the VMComps service, costing £4.50 weekly, to cancel reply STOP to 64640. For assistance, contact: 01133708542
"
Is this some sort of fraud? How do I go about blocking it?

I've been inundated with these messages myself. I haven't responded, as I'm pretty convinced it's a scam. However, I really want to put an end to it completely, which appears to be a bit of a challenge. I think I’ll reach out to my Vodafone provider about this.

Just received a text saying I've signed up for the vmcomps subscription at £4.50 a week - and apparently, I can opt out by messaging stop to 64640. The sender’s info is Vespermoon Ltd and the number is 01133708542. I've had similar messages come through on several occasions... haven’t replied to any of them, though. Do you think it's alright to just get rid of these texts? Also, if I end up getting charged unexpectedly, who should I contact?

I got in touch with the number listed, but they requested some personal details from me, which I wasn't comfortable sharing. I’ll be ringing up EE first thing tomorrow instead.

I just got a message about some subscription that’s costing me £4.50 every month unless I send a text to cancel it. I reckon it’s a dodgy scheme, so I’ve decided to just leave it be.

Received a message stating that I’m enrolled in the VMComps subscription service, costing £4.50 each week! To opt out, I need to send a text saying STOP to 64640. The sender appears to be VESPERMOON LTD. If help is required, they’ve listed a contact number: 01133708542. Quite the surprise, I must say!

In February, I got a similar text and decided to disregard it, assuming it was a phishing attempt aimed at snagging my personal info and billing me if I responded. To my surprise, I found out today from my dad that he had a similar experience and ended up being charged. I reached out to EE, who promptly placed a block on his account, and they advised him to get in touch through a specific phone number and email. However, just this evening, another message popped up urging me to reply 'STOP' or contact them for assistance with yet another phone number. Fingers crossed that the charges have been halted!

Blimey, my other half fell victim to some downright dodgy scammer on our EE phone plan. We didn’t engage with those blokes and instead reached out to EE directly. I must say, they were absolutely brilliant! Not only did they sort us out with refunds for both past and ongoing charges, but they also put a stop to any future attempts from these chancers!

I just got a message claiming I'll be charged £4.50 each week. To be honest, I've no idea what it's about!
