Seems like the scam is back around. Got this message: “Verify your chances for a Post Office Credit Card - won’t impact your credit rating https://bit.ly/CC124A. To stop get texts send POLSTOP to 64546.” Quite dodgy if you ask me!

Just got a dodgy text claiming to be from the Post Office about some credit card offer... it says "Check if you qualify for a Post Office Credit Card... To stop, Txt POLSTOP..." It's a premium service number, so replying will charge you and probably lead to more unwanted messages. Best to just report as junk and block it.

This number belongs to Lending Stream, a loan provider. If youve got an existing loan with them, then its all good. But if you get a message saying youve been approved for a loan or have to pay them and youre not expecting it, you should get in touch right away. Ive heard some folks say these companies are terrible, but honestly their customer service is really good.

I’m in a real pickle here! Money has been unlawfully taken from my bank account, and I didn’t authorise any of it. I desperately need assistance to put a stop to this. I noticed there’s a STOP text option available at 64546. It seems to be linked to mocoplay.com. Can anyone advise me on how to proceed?

Be cautious of these scams! It’s high time that mobile providers took a stand against these fraudsters. How do they manage to siphon off funds from your bank account? It’s as if the telecoms are turning a blind eye and letting this happen without your permission.

I had a chat with my service provider earlier today, and it struck me as odd - my phone was simply sitting on my chest of drawers, untouched, when I received that text about a charge of £4.50 a week. Quite baffling, really!

It's a scam, definitely. I rang EE and they gave me the info on who to get in touch with to ask for my money back. I'd say try contacting them directly for a refund.

So, what’s the deal if you reply to a text from a number you don’t know? Curious if anything weird happens or if it’s just a normal message exchange. Has anyone tried texting back and noticed anything unusual? Just wondering if it's safe or if you end up getting spammed or something. Would be good to know before hitting send!

I received a rather unsettling text saying, "FreeMsg: Just a reminder that you’re signed up to Best HTML5 Games at £4.50 weekly, courtesy of Best Games Downloads. To cancel, please message STOP to 64546. Need assistance? Ring 08004049162." I stumbled across this while browsing a link about an unusual dog breed on Facebook, and now I'm finding unexpected charges on my phone bill. To my dismay, they've taken £13.50 this month! Not quite what I signed up for!

I've got a pay-as-you-go mobile plan and recently got a message from the number 64546 on the 19th of March, followed by another one today saying something like: "FreMsg: Reminder. You are currently subscribed to Best HTML5 Games for £4.50 weekly via Best Games Downloads. To unsubscribe, text STOP to 64546 or for assistance, please call 08004049162." I nearly sent the STOP text, but since my balance is at zero and only allows free texts, it didn't go through. It's concerning that they could potentially start charging me for sending a text. Has anyone else had a similar experience? It really gives off a scam vibe.

I got a text from 64546 reading: FreeMsg: Reminder. You are currently subscribed to Mobidol for £4.50 a week until you send STOP to 64546. This was completely unrequested on my part. It's clearly a scam text. I've now flagged this number in my mobile's spam filter, deleted the message, and have chosen not to engage with it at all. Such scams thrive on instilling fear, then offer a false sense of control by suggesting you opt-out with a text. Just to reiterate, avoid replying!
