Someone rang me saying they were from the National Fraud Prevention Centre and told me I was about to be arrested.

I got a call from someone claiming it was a survey and they wanted to ask me some basic questions about my home. They asked if my postcode was wr94gh, which it definitely isn’t. When I asked why they needed that info, they just kept pushing me to answer. Then they said they needed my full billing address and name, asking me to spell it out slowly. I wasn’t having any of it and told them no thanks, then ended the call.

Got a call from 0016308599364 but no voicemail left, just this robotic voice saying 'good bye' at the end. Weird, wasn't a real person talking.

Got a ring from this number around 12:21 this afternoon. The bloke on the line, calling himself Tyrone with a strong Indian accent, was claiming I’d been getting loads of marketing calls. I told him that wasn’t true as I’m signed up with the TPS. He carried on yakking for a couple of minutes, so I asked where he was calling from. He said New York and then claimed the UK Government had rerouted the call there - bit fishy, if you ask me! Then he tried to push a call blocker on me, so I just told him politely to take a hike.

Yesterday, I got a call from this number claiming to be from Talk Talk broadband. They told me my computer had a virus and asked me to type in some codes that would show errors and warnings if it was on. At first, it seemed legit, but then I started feeling a bit iffy because she wanted me to enter random codes. I asked again where exactly she was calling from. She actually knew my name and account details, which made it even more weird. I didn’t go any further once I realised this was probably a scam, so I ended the call when she stopped answering my questions. After that, I checked the number by calling 1471 and yep, it came up as this one. Be cautious, it’s definitely some phishing scam trying to hack into your devices. It sounded like a big call centre with loads of voices and people chatting away. Honestly, I nearly got caught out and that’s not like me at all! :(

Got a call earlier from someone claiming to be from Microsoft saying my computer was hacked and I needed to sort it out. When I asked him for some ID or where he was calling from, the bloke took offence and told me to “F*#k Off!” before hanging up on me. Kinda tempted to report this so-called Microsoft tech support team... lol.

Got two calls within a couple hours, even though my number's ex-directory! They said they weren’t selling anything, but claimed to be from the Windows Tech Support team. Proper annoying!

Feeling a bit anxious every time my phone rings now. This number, 016309339463, popped up on the caller ID and naturally, I thought it was a local UK call. Turns out it was just another scam about my computer. I told them I don't even own a computer, and the caller just hung up on me. I’ve pretty much stopped answering my phone if it shows as unknown or from abroad - which is a real pain since I do have family living overseas. It’s maddening to deal with this kind of constant pestering; I swear I get at least five calls like this daily. Honestly, I’m fed up. Does anyone know how I can block these calls for good? It’s getting seriously annoying.

I got a call today and as soon as I picked up, there was this really long beep. I think I must have answered too fast because it sounded like the caller wasn’t ready for me to pick up that quick!

Got a call earlier today around 1:37 pm from someone claiming our computer was being hacked. Thing is, we don’t even own a computer, just tablets and phones, so it felt off straight away. They did know my stepdad’s last name though, which made me wonder how. I reckon the only way they could’ve got that info is from SFR, our internet company, since the contract is in his name.

Got a call from someone with an Indian accent claiming to be from Microsoft Tech Support, saying there was an issue with my PC. I told him there was no way he could know that and that I was going to contact the police. He just ended the call. Then he rang back, but this time the caller ID said "WITHHELD". I knew straight away it was the same bloke. I repeated what I'd said but added that the Fraud Squad were already involved. He was desperate to hang up that time!

I got a call from a guy with an accent saying my computer was infected with a virus, which isn’t true at all. I told him I didn’t have any virus and that I handle my own tech stuff so I don’t need help. Then, out of nowhere, he just cut the call while I was still replying to him.

Bloody Microsoft scammers from some call centres in India... How come they’re still running and no one’s stopped them yet? Feels like the phone companies might be making a killing off them or something...

Had pretty much the same thing happen - a guy with a strong Indian accent claiming he was from Microsoft kept telling me to hit certain keys. I asked him to tell me my IP address instead. When he gave me one and I said that’s not right and not my machine, he just flipped out and called me a liar!

Had a call from someone claiming to be with Microsoft support, saying there was an issue with my PC at home. Instead of playing along, I just cheekily told them a few brief things about travel and, well, a bit about sex, then hung up. Didn’t expect to get any details about the caller at all, so that was a bit unexpected.

This number rings a bell, not sure if it’s called me previously. I said hi, but they just hung up straight away. Could hear a lot of background noise, sounded like they were somewhere busy, maybe an office or something.
