12 yearsReceived a call this morning at 8:06am from an Indian man who claimed to represent talk talk. He informed me that there is a potential issue with my computer and that it seems to be affecting multiple people in the area. He urged me to immediately turn on my computer so he could guide me through the necessary steps to resolve it. However, I explained that I didn't have the time. He emphasized the urgency of the situation, stating that it is detrimental to their servers, as well as my computer and internet box. He asked when he could call back, and I suggested 12 o'clock. He objected, mentioning that their office closes at five. Again, I proposed 12 o'clock, and he informed me that the office shuts at 4. Nevertheless, I insisted on 12 o'clock, to which he eventually agreed.12 yearsI recently encountered an issue with Talk Talk. Around three hours later, I received a call from a specific number, claiming to be Talk Talk's technical support. They asked me to install remote computer control software. Surprisingly, they knew my name, address, and phone number accurately. Moreover, they provided me with a supposed Talk Talk account number, which later turned out to be incorrect when I verified it. This raised suspicions for me, so I decided to reach out to Talk Talk through their online chat support. Fortunately, I did so because I was almost tricked into cooperating with the fake technical support, especially considering the fact that I had already contacted Talk Talk earlier that day regarding an issue. It seems unlikely that they called me so soon after reaching out to Talk Talk. Consequently, I can't help but have doubts about the involvement of someone within Talk Talk colluding with these fraudulent people.Talk Talk12 yearsCan you believe it? A man claimed that there was an issue with my computer, as mentioned before. Instead of entertaining the call, I simply declined and ended the conversation. It is quite frustrating that they make these calls all around the globe. I just hope that by answering, I won't receive any unexpected bills. From now on, I have decided not to answer calls from abroad to avoid such situations.12 yearsI received two calls this morning from the same number, but unfortunately, I missed the first one. The person on the other end claimed to be a representative from Microsoft. They mentioned that there was an issue with my computer and offered to guide me through the process while sitting in front of my PC. According to them, it would take around 15-20 minutes. However, since I didn't have enough time, I ended the call promptly. Just to be safe, I scanned all my documents and everything seemed fine. Now I'm wondering what this person's intentions were.Microsoft12 yearsI received a call this morning from a person who claimed that my computer was sending error messages. The first call had a withheld number, which alarmed me because she knew my full name and address despite being ex-directory. She informed me that they had detected a virus signal coming from my computer. Feeling suspicious, I immediately asked her to disconnect and dialed TalkTalk's customer service. As expected, they had no knowledge of her or any call made regarding the issue (surprise!). Today, the same woman called again, but this time her number appeared on my screen. I told her that I had already reported her call to TalkTalk, and she abruptly ended the conversation by hanging up.TalkTalk12 yearsOn the morning of 9th October 2014, at 10:28 am, I received a landline call from a woman who identified herself as being from TalkTalk and claimed to be of Asian Indian descent.
