Right from the start, this bloke got on the phone speaking with a thick Indian or Pakistani accent, and honestly, I couldn’t make out a single thing he said. Had to keep asking him to say it again. Getting quite fed up, I just thanked him for calling and ended the call. Not trying to sound harsh, but if you’re ringing me to sell or sort something out, please speak in clear English that’s easy to follow! This number’s called me a few times now and I’d really appreciate it if they’d stop ringing me.

I got a call from a bloke with an Indian accent who started rambling on about my computer. I quickly said I wasn’t interested and cut him off. Then he rang back asking why I’d ended the call, so I told him straight up I don’t deal with unsolicited calls and to stop ringing me. That set him off, and for the next 20 minutes the phone kept going, so I just let it go to voicemail. Eventually, he left a message calling me a daft woman - lovely, right? Seriously, someone needs to put a stop to this nonsense before more folks get hassled.

Just got myself a new phone and it's working great so far. I've managed to block all those annoying numbers, so thankfully they can't bother me anymore.

Someone called claiming to be from BT helpdesk, saying my PC had a virus. I'd previously received calls from 04587965152 with similar stories, so I just ended the call straight away. I then got in touch with BT, who told me that their numbers always begin with 0800. On top of that, I’m looking into buying the BT 8500 phone, which costs about £34.99 and includes features like caller ID and blocking unwanted calls.

I got two calls from this number today, the 18th Dec 2014. The first one was at about 9 in the morning, and the voice sounded Indian or South Asian. The caller ID showed the number, which looked like an international code I didn’t recognise. The guy just kept saying “Hello” so I ended the call pretty quickly. Then, the same number rang me again at 9:07am, but I just hung up straight away since I wasn’t expecting any foreign calls from numbers I don’t know.

At first, there was nothing but quiet, then a strange voice said "hello", and suddenly the call just cut off. Bit of a letdown really, cos I was ready to mess about with these Microsoft scam folks, make them believe I'm falling for it, and waste their time before giving them a piece of my mind.
On a more practical point - if people know the numbers these scammers use, why aren’t the authorities shutting them down for good?

We're getting calls non stop here in B.C., Canada, sometimes as many as six times a day! They never seem to accept a simple NO. At least twice daily, we're getting these calls. Someone needs to put an end to this! It's so frustrating! They ring us early in the morning and even late at night after we've gone to bed. We don’t want these calls any longer, what else do we have to do to make them stop?

Got a couple of calls today, first thing in the morning as well. They claimed to be from the Microsoft support team. I’m actually based in Alicante, Spain.

I had the same scam call... some bloke claiming to be from Microsoft’s "Support Team", saying my PC was running slow coz hackers had got in. They tried pushing some sort of Microsoft certificate to sell me. Total nonsense, obviously. I’ve reported them to the coppers... and whatever you do, don’t fill out any forms they ask for!

Watch out, this is a total RIPOFF! On April 27th, 2014, this number called me claiming my computer had a serious problem. They told me to turn on my PC and follow their instructions. Don’t fall for it - if you do, they’ll ask you for money and if you say no, they’ll supposedly lock you out of your own system! Honestly, these scammers are the worst, I wish I could catch them!

Got a call out of the blue claiming to be from Microsoft - total scam, obviously. Didn't even bother chatting, just hung up straight away. Such annoying scams popping up all the time.

Had that Microsoft scam call yet again but from a new number. Been getting loads lately like 002011772013, 0016073249846, and 0016074589765. The best trick I found is to just blow a loud whistle down the line, seems to freak them out. Tried telling my phone provider but they're not interested at all.
