Got a message saying it was from Virgin Money, telling me my card is now linked to some “Michelle’s iPhone” for contactless payments. It asked to call the number if I hadn’t approved it. The text looked like it came straight from “VirginMoney” itself, so I reckon it’s a spoofed SMS. Just a heads up to watch out!

Got a message saying "Michelle's iPhone now has your card added, contactless payments are on." It said to ring 0330 133 6136 if it wasn’t me. They claim it's Barclays, but after reading others' experiences here, I’m not convinced it's legit.

Got a message saying my Barclays card was linked to an iPhone, with a number to ring. I didn’t call that one, tho - I phoned Barclays debit and Barclaycard through their official app instead. Neither team said they’d sent the text, so definitely a dodgy one.
