I got a call from this number earlier while heading to work. The person on the line was asking for someone called Christine Moss with an ID 640035. Then she started threatening me, saying I was some sort of "criminal" and mentioned calling the police. I couldn't help but laugh because there’s no way a real IRS agent would talk like that! I told her to call the cops if she wanted, but I wasn’t having any of her rude attitude. The call cut off after that, and I haven’t heard a peep since. Total scam, what a joke!

Someone rang me saying her name was Megan, but the caller ID said Harry Ketal. I contacted the Internal Revenue Department of Investigation and they told me their agents have official ID numbers you can verify with the department. Also, they said the IRS will always send a formal letter on official stationery before you hear anything from them. So, I’d be really cautious.

Got a voicemail saying it was the IRS investigations unit calling. But honestly, the bloke sounded like he was speaking from India or somewhere around there. Total scam, I'd say.

This number rang me as well, the person claimed to be from the IRS Fraud Division. I told her that the IRS doesn’t make calls and always sends letters first. She said I could just end the call if I believed it was a scam. So, I just put the phone down.

Got a call supposedly from the IRS threatening me - total joke. They claimed they’d sent me two letters and wanted me to note down some info and visit their website. Apparently, someone was misusing my tax ID. Seriously, if it was the real IRS, wouldn’t they send a proper certified letter to my home? When I questioned her, she got really annoyed. And yeah, the lady had a noticeable foreign accent.
