I was chatting with a mate when this number rang my phone. I just gave it a miss at the time. Later on, I went to check my call log to see how many digits the number had, but annoyingly, it wasn’t even recorded anywhere.

Oh boy, got a call from this number earlier today around 11:30 AM Pacific time. My phone showed it as “unknown” and luckily, I have it set so calls from people not in my contacts get silenced automatically. I was curious though, so I looked it up and it came up as “dangerous.” It struck me as sketchy, probably some fake or spoofed number. Just by chance, I had to cancel a credit card yesterday because someone had been using it fraudulently. So, if this caller is connected to that mess, they’re likely tied to some shady online activity. To whoever this is, if you happen to see this, honestly, you need to check out the online Bible, especially Deuteronomy 5:7-21. It’s short but packs a punch with guidelines on how to live right - the ten commandments, basically. Wish people would think twice before doing dodgy stuff like this.

This number called me a few hours after someone tried to con me on Facebook Marketplace while I was selling something. The person in the Facebook chat wanted my phone number so they could send me some code. I didn’t fall for it and told them I wasn’t giving out my number because those "code verification" tricks are usually scams. After that, they just dropped out of the chat on Facebook Messenger.

They kept ringing me, so I phoned back like 16 times and shouted some Russian swear words at them. Then, suddenly, they just blocked the number. I have no idea why they bothered calling me at all. Been ages since a scam call like that came through.

On the 8th of May 2020, I got a call from 1000-000-0000. I couldn’t make out what they were saying, apart from them saying goodbye right before the call ended.

When my landline showed just a bunch of zeros, I had a feeling it was one of those dodgy calls but I picked up anyway to check what they wanted. Some bloke just said "Grandma" and obviously, I’m not one, so I asked who he was. He just kept saying "Grandma" and when I asked who he was after all, he just ended the call. Strange!

This number looks like a right con, same as 18882804331. The second one even tells you to press the £ sign to stop the calls - what a joke! Do they really reckon everyone’s that daft? Tried ringing back and all you get is a message saying calls to this number are blocked! Seriously, someone like the police or whoever needs to shut these scammers down. On the 21st of June 2019, at about half past 12 EST, I got a call from 1 0000000000 but ignored it. Then again on the 24th, around 2:33 pm EST, they rang me once more, but still no answer from me. Fast forward to the 27th June around 2:17 pm EST, a different number popped up on my phone from Wailuku, Hawaii (1 808 205 8860). I picked up this time and they started telling me my Social Security Number had been used fraudulently and I needed to cancel it - they wanted me to press 1 to talk to someone. I just hung up straight away. I’m not entirely sure if these dodgy numbers have anything to do with each other, but they did seem suspicious.

Just had a couple of dodgy calls lately. Honestly, if someone’s desperate enough to beg for cash like that, maybe they should find a proper job instead. When they tried to say I was involved in some fraud, I told ’em back, “Listen, mate, you’re the one with problems!” Had a laugh at the bloke’s accent, annoyed him a bit, then blocked and reported him straight away. Worked like a charm!

The caller ID showed 100-000-0000, which doesn’t seem like a legit number. The name on the ID was just the same string of numbers. They left a voicemail fragment talking about debt consolidation. We're on the do not call list and definitely don’t require anything like that. Feels very much like a phishing scam to me.

As soon as I asked them to stop wasting time and say what they needed, they just ended the call. How on earth do they find out your details and your phone number like that?

They insisted I get in touch right away to sort things out, even handed me a number to call - which I didn’t bother noting down. They ended by threatening that if I ignored their instructions, I’d be arrested straight away. Knowing full well that I’m not tangled up in any legal troubles, I just ignored the whole thing and blocked the number without a second thought.

Same old trick, new number - this caller said, "Hey Grandpa!" I knew right away it was a scam. I wished them a Happy Thanksgiving then told them I’m onto their fake grandson act since they’ve hassled me six times already this year! Then they just hung up on me. They normally use numbers that pretend to be from law enforcement - Florida cops, Utah jail, even an attorney’s number (I didn’t bother keeping it). They throw in some case number about a car crash with airbags causing nose and mouth injuries, which apparently explains their weird voice. This time they came from a 000000000 number. Figured I’d report it as “Another Dan” just for do not call purposes.
