I received a dodgy phone call purporting to be from “Microsoft Windows,” claiming that I’d downloaded some sketchy or harmful software. Best to steer clear of picking up. Alternatively, if you do engage, try what I did and inform them that you’re documenting the conversation for your local fraud investigation unit. Despite this, the chap who called himself Tom (very much sounding like he hailed from Asia) continued to insist he was simply trying to assist me. Quite the cheek!
