I came across this phone number on a list of ones to steer clear of, and it mostly seems to direct you to Tesco Mobile™. Apparently, it’s linked to some kind of scam or bad luck involving banks like HSBC, Lloyds, and NatWest among others. Definitely feels like one to avoid!

I ended up blocking this number on my phone because I kept gettin calls from folks pretending to be from the "INSS Central". They were making threats, which was pretty unsettling. Since then, I've made sure all calls from that number are blocked.

Some bloke said he was from O2, telling me I’d won some Black Friday offer for 70% off a phone. I told him I dont need one coz I already got a phone. He just goes “why not get two phones then, it’s a bargain.” I ended the call, but they kept ringing me like 10 times in the next hour. I just ignored the calls after that.

Got a call from someone claiming to be from 02 saying I’d won a Black Friday mobile deal for £20 a month and asked for my bank info. Had a bit of a laugh with him, told him I’ve never even had a mobile phone before - even though he was ringing my mobile!

Dodgy caller pretending to be from Talk Talk saying my computer was infected with viruses that were messing up their system. When I said that sounded awful and asked for help, he suddenly switched to talking in some language I didn’t recognise before just hanging up. I reckon he caught on that I wasn’t falling for his nonsense and was just winding him up.

I didn’t get the entire number but received a message about some new kind of Skype app you can install on laptops or iPods for free chatting. Thankfully, my antivirus (Kaspersky) flagged it right away as a "Dangerous Download" and said it had TROVI plus another trojan inside... Just a heads up, real Skype is safe but this one’s definitely dodgy!

I’ve had a few calls similar to this, around three or so. It’s always a woman with a foreign accent claiming she’s from some computer firm, mentioning something about Windows. She says my Windows licence will expire at midday and my computer will stop working. Then she tries to get me to switch on my PC so she can ‘fix’ the issue. I told her there’s absolutely nothing wrong with my computer and told her not to bother calling again because I could tell she was just making it up.
