So I noticed a £2.11 fee on my January Vodafone statement for some random number I'd never even dialled. No idea how it got there. When I contacted Vodafone about it, all they kept saying was that I'd made the call, but I definitely didn’t. They weren't really bothered to help either.

I received a call from this number on Friday, May 10 at precisely 13:12, which was from 09068781119. They charged me 0.30 for the access, and a whopping £2.00 as the service charge. Upon answering, I was abruptly disconnected after merely 30 seconds, leaving me with a bill of £2.89 courtesy of EE for what clearly seems to be an unsolicited scam. While these types of calls aren't technically illegal in the UK, it’s high time the Government stepped in to put a stop to such practices!

Got an elderly family member getting hit with reverse call fees, £1.81 for just 44 seconds! I’m gonna reach out to Virgin for her. Don’t really know if these numbers can be stopped though. These scammers are awful.

This week my mum got a mysterious charge of £2.17 from this firm. She never called them herself, but she did get a phone call from some broadband people and also someone claiming her washing machine warranty was up. Thing is, she's got no cover at all for it.

Loads of folks have pointed out that the guy running this con is a known fraudster named Stuart Wright, living at 133 Anglian Way, Coventry, CV3 1QR. I went to his place to confront him and all I got was nasty abuse back. Hope someone steps in and puts this creep in his place!

£2.06 for just 26 seconds? Ridiculous! I reckon this was one of the calls where you pick up and all you get is a weird “brr-brr” noise like a ringing sound - I usually hang up straight away, but clearly this time I didn’t hang up quick enough :-( Definitely a SCAM.

Beware of this number, it’s a total scam. A family member who’s quite vulnerable ended up getting billed £4.40 after just making two calls that lasted about 26 seconds each.

I only phoned ITV a couple of times but somehow my credit is completely gone. When I checked my call history, it showed I made 57 calls! This is really worrying. I’m over 80 and I don’t think I’ll be using this phone any more. I’m not sure what to do next. All the calls seem to have happened at 12.47 on the 29th of September!

This number is linked to ITV competitions. Every time you call, it costs you £2, and if you send a text like APP to 81119, it’ll charge you £2 plus your normal text rate. Make sure you check the small print and terms and conditions of each competition - it’s on you if you don’t. They clearly explain this on all their contests. THIS NUMBER IS TRUSTWORTHY - ignore any bad reviews where people haven’t bothered reading the rules properly or claim they never entered but probably did recently. Most are just trying to blame someone else because they didn’t win.

We noticed three calls to this number on our Virgin Media bill, each costing £1.77 before VAT, all within minutes of one another. Nobody in our household remembers dialling this kind of 'non-geographic' number! Then, a couple of months later, the exact same thing happened with the 09031245533 number. When I checked reverse lookup sites, these prefixes seem to belong to China Telecom.

We got billed £2.13 for a call supposedly made from our landline, but we never dialled that number - in fact, I wasn’t even in the UK at the time! After reading through other people’s experiences, it seems to be one of those reverse charge scams. Tried getting help from TalkTalk but they didn’t really get what was going on. I’m guessing they know about these scams but weren’t much use to me. I’ll give their support a ring again to sort it out and hopefully get my money back.

On the 18th of August 2017, I noticed a charge of £2.08 for 45 seconds from this number on my Sky bill (SC60). I had no idea where it came from, so I got in touch with Sky customer service. They were really helpful, refunded the amount, and made sure to block the number so it shouldn’t be an issue in the future.

i been checking my relatives virgin phone bills and this number plus another one, 0906786060, keeps showing up like twice a month every month? its charging £3.54 plus vat so £4.24 in total. no clue why this is happening. gonna get in touch with virgin soon, fingers crossed they sort it out better than what you’ve had to deal with with bt.

I found four calls on my BT bill, each one minute apart, but I never made them. When I reached out to BT, they just told me “If they’re on your bill, you must’ve made them”.
