On the 5th of February 2020, I noticed some pretty shocking charges on my bill for two calls to the number 09040129225. I've noticed an entry for the number 09040129225 on my statement and I can't recall ever dialling it. My husband also didn't make any calls to this number, yet we've been charged £27.20. This is completely absurd! It would be frustrating enough if we had indeed called the number, but to be billed for something we haven't even used is absolutely ridiculous! What are my options here?

Received a rather puzzling call on the 16th of January at precisely half past twelve, and it’s hit my account for a whopping £27.20. My husband and I are completely baffled, as we both have no memory of this conversation whatsoever! If this turns out to be a dodgy scheme, it's certainly a pricey one! I'll be ringing up BT to see if they can shed some light on this mystery.
