SCAM ALERT. I blocked the number and reported it to Action Fraud UK. I don’t have any accounts with Plus Net, Virgin, Argos, Amazon or anyone else they claimed to be from. They kept ringing non stop till I blocked them. Please don’t get caught out by these scams. Real companies don’t randomly ring you about refunds and then make you pay to call back. Complete muppets honestly.

09011190907. My phone bill went through the roof this month and when I asked my network why, they told me I’d called this number three times back in early June. I honestly don’t remember making those calls and have no clue who they belong to. Neither my phone company nor my bank could give me any info. I’ve reported it to the police now. I’m really worried they’ve just taken a small sum to fly under the radar and might try to take more later. My bank says there’s nothing they can do to block it, which doesn’t seem right at all!

Proper annoyed, got billed twice for a 34 second call costing £5. I typed Argos into google and that number showed up, clicked the link and didn’t know it was a scam. I’ve sent Argos 4 registered letters but still no answer, now I’m stuck with a parcel I can’t send back cause I’m missing all the paperwork.

Dont fall for this scam! search 'action fraud' on google, then click the 'police.uk' website. head over to the 'reporting' section and file a complaint - if you lost cash report it as a crime, if not, report it as phishing. its best to use the online form instead of calling, way faster and simpler. also, try to recover any lost funds - check my post below for tips.
