I noticed that this number popped up four times within a minute on my bill from a company called EOTT International, which is odd since I certainly haven’t called them. It ended up costing me a fiver!

Can anyone enlighten me as to why I’m getting billed for incoming calls? It's quite baffling!

The number 44(0)87 1987 0101 belongs to Witt International, the magazine that covers home sales clothing. When you ring this number, you'll be greeted by a couple of minutes filled with pre-recorded messages, such as options for the accounts department, followed by some music, before you finally get to speak to an actual person. My conversation lasted 9 minutes and 32 seconds, setting me back £7.44, not including the delivery fees, which hardly feels like a great deal.
Witt appears to be shifting the call cost onto their telecom provider, yet it still becomes an additional burden for their customers.

I've noticed this number appearing on our landline bill. Like many others, I believe it shouldn’t be a premium rate line, especially if you've placed an order through their brochure. It seems quite misleading, doesn’t it?

Had I been aware, I certainly wouldn't have bought anything from Witt. They fail to mention the call charges in their brochure, which is rather frustrating.

Had a cheeky chat on 08719870101, which belongs to Witt International. I'll definitely think twice before picking up the phone again; next time, it's all about sorting things online for me. Spent an agonising 22 minutes trying to rectify a wrong item sent my way, and to rub salt in the wounds, I ended up getting billed £5.60. I suppose it’s somewhat reliable, but blimey, it's not cheap!

I noticed there was a 55 pence per minute connection charge, yet it was advertised as a 10 pence per minute number. A 9-minute chat ended up costing me £5.50! Quite misleading, if you ask me.
