Absolutely baffled by the mystery caller that tried to reach my mobile. I didn’t catch the call at all! When I attempted to ring back from my phone, it wouldn’t let me connect. I then tried from our landline, but it just took me straight to an answering machine with no hint of who might be behind the number. Not a shred of information to go on! So, I've decided to put it on my ignore list - even labelled it “do not answer” for good measure! Quite the amusing turn of events, really! 😂

Just like countless others, I received a call from this number only for them to disconnect after a brief moment. We also listed our car on Autotrader, and it feels like a total scam. The telephone company ought to identify the individuals behind this number and take action to shut it down. It’s time they inform the local authorities as well, although I doubt those folks would actually take the trouble to look into it.

I’ve just received a call-only the one, mind you-and the line went dead. I've had quite a few similar calls since I placed an ad on AutoTrader (has anyone else experienced this?). I suspect it’s some sort of telephone scam, considering that other numbers I’ve researched lead directly to a recorded message that charges a hefty fee for just picking up. Beware of these!

We've encountered the very same issue! We had our car listed on AutoTrader, and in a moment of folly, we included our mobile number in the ad. Sold the motor around a week ago, but we're still bombarded with calls-about twice weekly, in fact. It's clear to us that these calls are linked to our AutoTrader listing, as we've only shared our number with close friends and family. So, it’s pretty obvious where it’s coming from.
