If you dare to call back, you’ll end up on a voicemail that seems to vanish into thin air, as none of your messages ever receive a reply. That 0871 number is a premium rate scam; if you try dialling it from a standard landline with BT, it’ll set you back about 10p per minute. But should you be unfortunate enough to ring it from your mobile, you could find yourself forking out a whopping £1.50 per minute, depending on your mobile provider. Quite the racket, isn’t it?
