Got a call from someone called 'Alex' saying he was from National. He wanted to talk to the person who owns the company I work at. When I said I'd get back to him, I noticed the number he gave didn't match. Then I found out a lot of others got tricked or nearly tricked by these lot too.

They say they represent the national utilities but its a total lie. The only number they give you is some expensive 0871 line to ring them on. They also come out with all sorts of rubbish trying to scare you into giving them info, like telling you your electric meter isn't registered and thats why youre being charged an arm and a leg. Complete nonsense if you ask me.

They insisted they could secure a more favourable rate. However, upon investigating their claims and checking our current pricing, it turned out they were completely mistaken. After a quick chat with my actual supplier, it became clear these folks are just a brokerage trying to swindle us, and we are still very much tied to our existing contract. He mentioned their website was commercialpower.co.uk, though there also seems to be a similar one at commercial-power.co.uk.
