Looks like this number belongs to Link Asset Services, which I got when dealing with a problem about Saga shares. They gave me this number instead of a freephone one like they should have. The call wasnt picked up quickly and ended up costing me £10.21 plus VAT for nothing! This is really poor and I dont see any way to get my money back.

Just got a call like the one before, so I ended up calling southwest water myself. Turns out the deadline for shares has passed, and i coulda got a credit on my bill. Felt like they were tryin to get extra details to pull some kinda scam.

Someone rang claiming to be from South West Water about some recent free share offer or dividend. They said I had until 5pm today to sign up for the shares or get £20 credit. But the deadline was already gone. I checked with South West Water on chat and they said they don’t recognise that number. From reading these comments, I’d be wary about giving any info over the phone.

Link Asset Services, which used to be part of Capita, really messed up with their paperwork. I had a nine-minute call that ended up costing me £6.32, which means I was charged £0.70 per minute on top of my regular Virgin bill. Quite a frustrating situation!

Link Asset Services, previously Capita, messed up by sending me a share certificate instead of sending it to my share dealing nominee. When I rang them to sort it out, I wasn’t aware they were charging me 70p per minute because of their mistake. The fine print mentions extra charges on top of your usual call rate - calls are supposedly 12p per minute plus your phone provider's access fee - so they've definitely overcharged me.

Got a call from some kind of Magazine company or something like that. I’d never come across them before and the message felt kinda aggressive, so I was pretty sure it was just another spam call!

Whenever I get a call and it’s a cold caller, they usually hang up before the automated message even starts. If the message does play, I listen quickly to see if it’s someone I want to speak to and cut them off if it is. If not, I just hang up straight away. Since doing this, I hardly get any scam or cold calls anymore.

Link Asset Services called me, they seem like a legit share sales firm. I tried messaging them which took way longer than just ringing them up. I didn’t pick up their call so no charges on that front, however, they still deducted an 8% commission.

I just noticed I got charged in July like this. 12/7/19, 11.43 min, £3.21; 22/7, 32.92 min, £8.88; 26/7, 1 hr 56 sec, £16.47; 31/7, 9.43 min, £2.67. Total: £31.23. I rang Link Asset Services on 08716640300 not knowing there were any extra call costs, no alert or anything. I was on the phone for 29 minutes and ended up being billed more than £8. Lucky for me, my phone plan had a smart cap, so I only had to pay £2. Feels more like a rip-off or plain daylight robbery to me!

I rang Link Asset Services about a cheque for £20.56 that had expired. When I asked who now had the money, I was told “it’s only £20.56”. After a few more questions about who held the funds, they said I needed to contact the corporate action team. They then told me Link still held the money and would send a cheque, which will take 21 days to arrive (I’ve got 5 days left). The call lasted 19 minutes and 44 seconds, and my phone provider charged me nearly £5 just to try and get a bit over £20 back - if that cheque ever shows up!

This number belongs to Link Asset Services, and honestly they are unbelievably useless. Even after telling them I had power of attorney to sell shares for my dad, every time I called to make a trade, they kept asking for more info. Each trade call lasted ages, from about 15 minutes up to nearly half an hour, while they tediously went through all the checks and terms. I ended up paying over £15 in phone bills on top of their ridiculous share dealing fees. Honestly, stay well clear unless you want to get ripped off.

Loads of music while waiting to get through to someone, then even more tunes as they try an’ gather details about your query. Takes forever for a simple question when the info’s easy to find. this is link asset services. they are a share company that managed gvc holdings who acquired ladbrookes. they charged me £11 because even though i have grant of probate, they wouldnt accept it since it was registered in england not the isle of man. on top of the crazy call fees, they also charge £85 to transfer shares if your probate isnt registered in the ilse of man. total rip off.
