I reckon this must be the customer service number for Chums. I was rather taken aback to discover that ordering from them would set me back £6 on top of my purchases! I don’t intend to place any further orders with Chums, so it seems they’ve missed out on my custom.

I recently placed an order with a company called Chums, and they've added a charge of over £9 to my mobile bill. Quite frustrating, to say the least!

I've noticed I've been billed by VirginMedia for ringing this number twice, despite being on a contract that offers free calls. Quite perplexing, to say the least!

I’ve just come across a couple of calls on my dad's phone bill for £11.11 and £3.05. It seems he placed an order with Chums and had to ring them again. However, the bill shows the calls lasting a whopping 28.23 minutes and 7.46 minutes, which is far from accurate!

I've just had a rather frustrating experience with the customer service line for a firm named Chums. To put it bluntly, we won't be engaging their services again. I'm also planning to lodge a formal complaint with Chums, as the reason for my call was due to an absolute disaster in their warehouse operations - utterly dissatisfied!

Seems like I've stumbled upon a premium rate number masquerading as a customer service hotline. Quite the tricky business, isn't it?

It's baffling how these scammers manage to sidestep my blocked numbers list! I must have accidentally pressed the call button, thinking I could trace the call, and wouldn’t you know it, EE hit me with an 86p fee for a mere couple of seconds on the line. Absolutely ridiculous!

I received a call from an unknown number, and I’ve noticed a charge of around £4 on my bill. Seems dodgy to me – could be a billing scam!

Frequent calls seem to target the elderly.

My elderly mother, who is ninety and a BT customer, decided to ring Chums on their 08 number to make a purchase on the morning of 9 September 2022. The call dragged on for 11 minutes and 36 seconds and ended up costing her £3.53. Included in her order was a complimentary polar bear plushie, which I wouldn't be surprised if it was stitched together by some poor child in a Xinjiang detention centre. It seems like the only businesses that impose such steep charges are fortune tellers, various con artists, and contenders for the title of Rip-Off Britain. My mum has been a loyal customer of Chums for ages, and I shudder to think how much she has forked out in exorbitant call fees over the years.

08715265265265 Having just come across the post dated 25/7/2020, it feels eerily familiar, as we've just experienced the identical situation. Quite amusingly, it involved deck footwear! The remark about "CHUMPS" couldn’t ring more true! I shall definitely be avoiding CHUMS in the future. What I thought I saved on that deal has now been gobbled up in phone charges!

This is a classic example of 'let the buyer beware'. I'd strongly advise steering well clear of this company and their number—better safe than sorry! It’s high time that trading standards intervened and put a stop to these dodgy operators.

Blokes, I’d highly recommend steering clear of making any purchases from them!

I reside in Surrey and recently had an unsettling experience while trying to order clothing for my elderly father from Chums. On the 25th of April 2022, I found myself making two phone calls to them. To my surprise, the first call, which lasted 11 minutes, racked up a bill of £7.80, and the follow-up call of 10 and a half minutes cost me £7.70! Such exorbitant charges really make one scrutinise the integrity of the company.

I can't believe the sheer audacity of this so-called customer service number! They are slapping on ridiculous fees for what should be basic support. Nineteen pounds for just an 11-minute chat? It's utterly scandalous! I strongly advise steering clear of this company in any capacity.

My folks decided to purchase some attire from Chums and ended up ringing them twice to find out where the delivery was. Unfortunately, it racked up nearly £20 in phone charges. Safe to say, we won’t be giving them our custom in the future.

I contacted Chums through their mail order service and found them to be quite satisfactory. However, be cautious about the costs involved in making a phone call; opting for a postage stamp might just be the more economical choice!

I received a couple of calls today, the date being the 2nd of March 2021, from a number ending in 2. Strangely enough, there was no message left, just an annoying series of beeps. My voicemail even chimed in, asking me to hang up, which turned out to be a bit of a faff in itself. To be honest, I wouldn’t trust this call for a second; it reeks of a dodgy scam attempt!

I’m quite appalled to discover that I was charged £6.47 plus VAT just for making a couple of calls to organise my order. This annoying fee will now have to be tacked on to the overall price of my purchases. Turns out it wasn't such a great deal in the end!

Essentially, this firm seems to be imposing fees on customers for access to their telesales service, which ought to be complimentary. Maybe a dash of free advertising on Facebook could help them reconsider their approach to business!

26th January 2020 About the call to 087 15265265, Chums I wanted to mention that my wife rang up to purchase some shoes for me, which ended up costing us £1.18. However, I must say we won't be making any further purchases from them. The quality was rather disappointing. Cheers, Neil Meiklejohn.

I recently placed an order with a clothing brand called "CHUMS" and I must say, the items arrived in splendid condition. I was a bit taken aback to discover that the phone number I dialled to place my order was a "premium" line. However, I managed to figure out that it cost 24.02p per minute, which I think is quite reasonable! Typically, I don’t make a habit of leaving feedback, but credit where it’s due – they provided excellent service and I wouldn't hesitate to shop with them again in the future. Also, I noticed one commenter mentioned they were charged for receiving a call; in that case, perhaps it's worth considering a change of phone provider!

I had a chat with my mates at the delivery service because my parcel hadn’t shown up yet. Ended up on the phone for a good ten minutes and it set me back £11! Quite frustrating, especially since I’m relying solely on my state pension. It would be grand if they could sort out a free 0800 number for these sorts of calls, as many of their customers are like me—senior citizens.

Unbelievable cheek from these blighters! They seem to have made it their mission to exploit the elderly! Seriously, steer clear of those dodgy chaps — they’re nothing but sharks, charging extortionate rates for phone calls aimed squarely at vulnerable folks. They ought to be ashamed! What a bunch of numpties!

I tried calling this number, but didn't manage to get through, and it set me back £2.17. As a result, I won’t be going ahead with my purchase. This company had previously replied to my email, promising to get in touch within 48 hours, yet here I am still waiting! I strongly advise treating this company with the disdain it clearly merits.

It’s rather absurd, isn’t it, that a firm would impose hefty charges for making calls just so you can buy their products? I reckon a good old-fashioned boycott might just be the way to go!

It’s that mail order firm ‘CHUMS’ that pops up in the Daily Mail and its associated publications. Be wary, as calling them will cost you a pretty penny. I strongly advise against ringing ‘CHUMS MAIL ORDER COMPANY.’ The call charges can soar to more than a fiver, regardless of whether you’re just ordering one of their inexpensive items or not.
