We received a phone call from this number for a charge of £18, but we weren't even at home!

I got hit with a £19 charge for calls to 08715250935, even after I complained to Sky Talk nothing got sorted out. Really frustrating.

On the 25th of April 2013, my PlusNet bill unexpectedly included a charge of £18.74 for 182 minutes of calls to 08715250935 at 2.11pm, which I definitely didn't make. Coincidentally, both my broadband and phone line stopped working that very day, which I reported to PlusNet later that evening. Interestingly, a BT engineer who came out on the 24th, a Sunday, mentioned that the BT junction box nearby had been vandalised, causing issues for several lines in the area. Could these events be connected or just a weird coincidence? If they are linked, it seems like someone with access to the damaged junction box might have been making unauthorised calls from multiple lines to that 0871 number, possibly sharing profits with the owner of that number. Sounds like some kind of conspiracy, doesn't it?

Just to clear things up, the BT technician actually showed up to sort the line out on Sunday the 28th of April, not the 24th like I mentioned before. PLUSNET assured me they would investigate this whole issue.

i'm with o2 and just got a bill for £62.50. i rang their customer support and explained that we never made a call to 08715250935, especially not one lasting 3 hours. i told them i wasn't paying for that extra charge. but the o2 rep said the call was made from my landline, so it’s my responsibility. they refused to help or remove the charge. really frustrating. if anyone has advice on what to do next, please let me know.

I just noticed a £24 charge from 08715250935 on my bill and I swear I haven’t dialled this number at all. Has anyone else experienced something similar? Is there a way to report it to the ICO or some other authority? Really don’t know what to do here.
