Caught red-handed! - caller: Heart Communications

Regrettably, I let my guard down whilst in a moment of desperation. I handed over £24.50, but in return, I received absolutely nothing. After reporting this as fraudulent activity, I was shocked to receive a letter four months later threatening court action if I don’t cough up an additional £54. I've reached out to my bank, and they've reassured me that I shouldn't fret-if this were a legitimate business, the fraud team would have refunded the amount. Yet, I must admit, I’m feeling rather anxious about the whole ordeal. These individuals are nothing short of leeches, exploiting those in dire circumstances-it's utterly appalling!

Best to steer clear of this number! Should you pick it up, absolutely do not disclose any banking information. It’s clearly a scam aimed at exploiting those desperate for employment. Truly despicable behaviour. - caller: The flexible work group.

At present, I am on the hunt for employment opportunities and received an unexpected call from an unfamiliar company regarding remote work. They prompted me to get in touch via 08714750356. I had a conversation with a chap named Ben, who appeared rather pleasant. They were offering administrative support roles, whether full-time or part-time - which did I prefer? The pay ranged between £10 and £15 per hour, and he assured me that remuneration would be hourly rather than per task. The only requirements seemed to be proficiency with computers, emails, and good written and spoken English. They were looking for someone to start as soon as possible, with an application process that would elaborate on the specific job roles. The work could be conducted from home at a leisurely pace, with flexibility on hours. No sales, commissions, cold calling, or targets to meet, as long as one could log in and send emails. The organisation in question is referred to as The Flexible Working Group, with the email address [email protected]. However, there was a bit of a catch: they requested a £49 fee for a starter package, although Ben mentioned I could have it for £25. They wanted my banking details to proceed with the paperwork so I could begin without delay, assuring me that a refund would be available if I was unsatisfied. When I pressed for further details, they provided an address: 34 New House, 67-68 Hatten Garden, London EC1 N8JY. Additionally, Ben shared another number for office-based positions: 09791300230. I strongly advise against answering any calls from them. I've gone ahead and blocked their numbers on my mobile. It’s quite clear they’ve obtained my information from my online job search efforts, fully aware that I’m seeking administrative work. Quite the dodgy lot, aren’t they? - Caller: The Flexible Working Group.

Oh no, I’m in a bit of a pickle! I genuinely believed it was on the level and ended up sharing my personal information. What should I do now? My bank doesn't seem able to assist me in this sticky situation either.

I received a call while I was in the midst of job applications. It appears the number is associated with totaljobs.com, though I might be mistaken. Has anyone else had experience with that website? - Caller: Automated system

I recently received a call from this number. When I returned the call, a charming lady guided me through a straightforward 'screening' interview concerning a 'work from home' administrative role with a 'flexible working group' purportedly located in London. She mentioned that I had the freedom to pick my working hours and inquired whether I was keen on admin and secretarial tasks, data entry, or envelope stuffing. When I probed for more details about the role, she just mentioned that all the specifics would be included in a starter pack that I could acquire for around £50, but they had a promotion running this week for just below £25. I expressed that I required further information and requested their website - which was www.tfwg.co.uk. However, it turned out to be a rather sparse page that only provided a different contact number - 08714750128 - and an email, with no additional information. I couldn't even locate them in the Companies House register. - caller: 0871 475 0968

I just got a call from this number, urging me to return their call regarding a job application for an admin role. Now, given that I've been on the hunt for work and putting numerous applications out there, I couldn’t help but feel a bit uneasy about receiving an automated message from a recruiter. I mean, really? So, despite my doubts, I decided to give the number a ring back, only to quickly discover it was a complete scam. I've heard horror stories about how people’s personal information can be used unscrupulously online, but it honestly never crossed my mind that details from job applications could be exploited like that. What a shocker! 😱 Best, Ria - caller: Recruitment agency

I recently encountered what is allegedly a recruitment firm offering remote job opportunities. I chatted with a recruiter for a brief 10 minutes, and while it initially seemed like a promising flexible role, they then asked for my bank information. Absolutely not; there's no chance I'm handing over my banking details to someone purporting to be a recruiter over the phone! I urge everyone to stay vigilant! The number from which I received the call was 0871 475 0968, and the recruiter's name was Shanon.

Upon picking up this number, I was greeted by a robotic voice urging me to return the call, claiming it was from a recruitment agency and referring to the administrative field. It immediately raised my suspicions. Before deciding to dial back, I opted to do a bit of digging on the number. The feedback I found from others made it crystal clear that this is likely nothing more than a scam. - caller: 08714750968

I received a robocall from this number, and when I decided to return the call, I was greeted by a rather tedious automated response system that exclusively advertised remote job opportunities. They had the cheek to ask for £25 for something they referred to as a "starter pack." When I inquired further, they mentioned their company was named "Flexible Workgroup," but I did a bit of digging and it appears they don’t have a footprint online at all. Quite suspicious if you ask me!

I've encountered yet another shady number that seems to be up to no good. At first, they were pretending to offer me a job, but shortly after, they started asking for money and even my credit card info. Seriously, steer clear and don’t return their call. When you get through, they just claim to be part of some recruitment team, but they don’t mention any company name at all. Total red flag!
