total scam alert! these folks are really dodgy. they try to intimidate you by saying you owe a shipping charge. after my son sold his car, they claimed the money was sent via paypal but he still needed to cover a £700 shipping fee. we contacted paypal, sent them all the emails, and paypal is now investigating to catch these con artists.

Today I got a call from some odd folks who wanted me to ring them back or something, but they didn’t even bother to say who they were. Seriously, these sorts of calls need to be stopped. It’s wrong to prey on people who are looking for jobs by making random, pointless calls like that. Just not on at all.

I got contacted by this so-called company claiming they had a brilliant work-from-home admin role paying around £10 to £15 an hour. But here’s the catch - they wanted me to fork out about £30 in advance for some kind of ‘starter kit’. I was really down on my luck looking for work, so I bit the bullet. Ended up getting charged twice for a starter pack that never showed up! Honestly, it’s a complete rip-off. Please, do yourself a favour and steer clear of this scam!

I got a call from a similar premium number (0871 475 0150) which was definitely a scam. It was an automated voicemail telling me to ring them back on the premium line, but there was no name or any info left. When I rang back, they tried to rope me into a fake 'pre-assessment' and then pitched some 'fantastic' work-from-home gig with a totally bogus company. Looks like this is one of those "companies" asking you to cough up £25 (£49.99 but supposedly 50% off if you sign up straight away) for some kind of starter kit to get going on data entry jobs. They claim you can earn £10-£15 an hour from home and that you'll make your money back quickly. Plus, the number they use is an 0800, and they want you to ring them back, which is pointless. Don't fall for it. They got my info when I applied for a job elsewhere, not with them. If anyone actually got the starter pack and made any cash, please share because I'm convinced this is just a scam.

Last week I was looking to apply for a data entry position and went onto their website. I hit the apply button and straightaway a pop-up came up asking if I wanted to sign up. I pressed NO, but right after that, the job listing vanished and a message came up saying the role had been filled or taken off the site. I reckon they must’ve got my information from some other source coz now I’m getting calls from different places all day long - I just don’t pick up though. Just noticed I missed a call, and when I checked the voicemail, it was exactly the same as before. Been out here applying for a bunch of Data Entry jobs this week, and this is already the second time I’ve run into a scam. So, yesterday I got an email from some outfit calling themselves ‘Copley Business LTD’ claiming to be hiring for Data Entry positions. I replied showing interest, then today another email popped up - this one way less professional - asking me to complete an application form attached and send it back. That’s when I clocked it was dodgy; the form wanted all my bank details like sort code, account number and even card info. Definitely a red flag. For some reason, it feels like Admin and Data Entry gigs attract these scam attempts more than others. As for me, I’d never hand over my card details on a phone call, especially unless I’ve gone through some proper security checks and know exactly who’s on the other end.

I’m a bit on edge about this, but I went ahead and followed their instructions since I really need work. I purchased a starter kit that should turn up within five days. The plan is to begin doing admin and data entry tasks from home once it arrives. Part of me suspects it could be a scam, but I’ve phoned a few times and actually got through to different people. They even have a website - http://www.tfwg.co.uk/ - although it’s currently down for maintenance. For now, I’m planning to wait it out for a week and see how things go. I’m puzzled about how they’re meant to pay me since they haven’t asked for my bank details, just payment for the starter pack. If anyone has heard anything else about this, please let me know.
