I reached out to BT earlier today, and it turns out this number is indeed tied to ADT Alarms. They use it for their monitored security setups. Unfortunately, it looks like there’s no bypassing the automated calls that the central controller, which sits in the customer's home, makes every day. It's rather a nuisance, to say the least!

Just got my BT bill, and it's a staggering £521! I rarely use my phone, so I took a closer look and found I've been racking up charges every six seconds from this number, 08712005020, since last month! I've no clue what it's all about. Thankfully, a lovely lady at BT is putting her effort into resolving this for me.

I've received a total of 8 calls from the number 08712005020. Interestingly, my BT bill indicates there were two calls made to that same number simultaneously. Oddly enough, every one of those 8 calls clocked in at a mere 6 seconds!

This month, Sky has hit me with a hefty bill for over 280 calls made from my landline to this particular number-every single one lasting a mere 7 seconds, and at all hours, including times when I was away. I’ve just returned from a holiday, so plainly, these calls couldn't have been made by me. My last invoice came to over £33, and although Sky's sending an engineer to check things out, I can't help but think it’s pointless. A bit of digging online revealed that this number has raised red flags before, both with Sky and TalkTalk, which leads me to believe we’re being scammed. I’m insisting on a refund from Sky. We've recently received a bill from TalkTalk indicating that we've made 342 calls to this number, each lasting about seven minutes, racking up a total charge of £55.00. When we dialled the number, we encountered a sound akin to a router connecting or something like a fax machine. Is there anyone who can shed some light on this situation?
