I got a call from this number claiming to be from PayPal, but I later discovered the person was actually calling from Mumbai. They attempted to take £107 out of my account using some firm named Citrus. Everything seemed legit up until they requested the 3-digit code on the back of my card. Honestly, block this number immediately. As soon as you answer, it starts charging really high rates.

They managed to take £500 out of my bank saying they were Paypal. I found out later they’d even paid for a Google ad to make it look like they were Paypal’s customer support! Such a scam!

I received a suspicious email with this number listed, so I called what I thought was PayPal’s official line. An Indian man answered and started asking for my credit card details, even wanted the three digits on the back of my card. While I was saying no, I suddenly got a message from my bank saying there were three transactions over £2500 pending approval. I’ve tried reaching out to PayPal about all this, but it’s like banging my head against a brick wall - they won’t connect me to the fraud department. Honestly, I’m done with PayPal, they just don't handle security seriously. The scammers somehow had full access to my account info, card numbers, and transaction history. How on earth did they get all that? The so-called PayPal rep just brushed it off saying everything was fine - yeah right!!!!

this contact is linked to a firm called legal services information digest limited, supposedly registered at 67 beechwood avenue, orpington, kent, br6 7ez. but that address is a private home, not an office. i've received several emails from them claiming my paypal password was updated and if it wasn't me, i should ring this number. be warned, the call setup fee is 75p plus £1.50 per minute. it's a scam line aimed at stealing your paypal or banking info. watch out!

Total scam alert. Got an email claiming to be from PayPal but it looked dodgy straight away. Took a closer look and yep, definitely NOT from PayPal. Do NOT reply to that message, just don’t do it. If you’re worried and want to check, stay calm and head straight to PayPal’s official website for advice. Seriously, DO NOT ring the phone number in the email - they’re just trying to trick you into giving away your personal info. Stay clear of that nonsense!

Got a couple of emails, one from eBay and another from PayPal, saying there was some dodgy activity on my account and asking if I’d tried changing my password. I did update it, but I’ve also contacted both companies by email and text to tell them it wasn’t me. Fingers crossed they don’t charge me anything. They gave me the number 08707307191 to ring, but it was nearly midnight so I left it till the morning. When I tried calling, the line was busy. After checking the number here, I won’t be calling it again now I’ve seen your advice.

Whenever I get a call from a number I don’t know, I just don’t pick up. If they call again, I block them straight away. That particular number’s definitely dodgy. Also, be wary of 0300 numbers - best not to answer or press anything on your phone, or you might end up with a massive bill later on.

I paid for something using PayPal, then shortly after got a text saying the transaction, which strangely had the exact amount and recipient right, was suspicious. They asked me to reply '1' if I approved it or '2' if I didn’t. When I texted back, they sent another message asking for a sum of money with a link that had numbers in it. Pretty obviously a scam! Got annoyed and sent a few rude words back, which then triggered an automatic message with a phone number to contact PayPal on. Like someone else said, I bet that’s a premium rate number!

It turned out to be the priciest call we've made-costing us £1.70 for a mere fifteen minutes of chat. Bravo, PayPal, you've outdone yourself once more with this costly service!

I just had a quick chat with PayPal regarding a refund of £5.14, and it turned out to be a bit of a pricey call at £4.14, all because it took a mere twenty-five seconds for them to acknowledge their mistake.
