I ended up ringing this number and, well, my phone bill shot through the roof after that...

I got a dodgy phone call the other day from someone saying they were from TalkTalk IT Support asking if they could access my computer - definitely seemed fishy. Later, I received a letter that looked legit, with no typos, supposedly from TalkTalk apologising I wanted to cancel and then telling me to ring a number straight away if I didn’t agree to leave. But when I checked TalkTalk’s official site, the phone number they list was totally different. I’m convinced it’s the same bunch of scammers who called me before.
