The official Do Not Call Register is completely FREE. It’s actually run by the Australian Communications and Media Authority for the government. Some scammers try to trick people into paying to sign up to the Do Not Call Register, but it doesn’t cost a thing. Plus, the real register never rings you up asking if you want to register your number. If you want to add your number to the Do Not Call Register, you can do it for free online at www.donotcall.gov.au or by calling 1300 792 958 during business hours, Monday to Friday, 8.30 am to 5 pm.
