Just like others mentioned, I also got called about some HMRC tax scam. Seems like a lot of these fraud calls going around pretending to be from the tax folks. Really annoying how they try to catch you out with this fake tax scheme stuff. Watch out everyone, it’s definitely a con!

Today I received three calls from the number 0845 862 2827, with someone named Linda White saying she was from HMRC. She told me there was a warrant out for my arrest over tax fraud and insisted I ring back straight away. Knowing HMRC always sends letters rather than calling, I was certain it was a scam. I haven’t bothered calling them back.

I got a missed call from 0845 862 2827 and there was a voicemail left. When I called back, they immediately asked for my National Insurance number. I asked what it was about, but all I got was some music on the line before I decided to hang up. Later, I listened to the voicemail and it mentioned a Lynda White who supposedly wanted to get in touch with me about something from HMRC. It all feels a bit fishy, so I’m going to report it to the proper HMRC department.

Got a call from 0845 862 2827 on the 17th June, and they left a voicemail saying something like “HMRC - ignore at your own risk, an arrest warrant is being issued...” but they never said my name or anything. I looked up the number and blocked it straight away. Then on the 19th June, they left ANOTHER message warning it was urgent and time-sensitive. Really frustrating since I’d already blocked them!

Got a call from 08458622827 earlier today. The bloke on the line said his name was George and started threatening me with arrest over some fraud accusations. The government moans nonstop about Facebook, but the phone firms here in the UK are just as bad - they make bank from these dodgy numbers. They’re basically helping these scam artists out. Absolute scam alert. Got a call from this number around 11:33, didn’t pick up, went straight to voicemail. When I played it back, it was some dodgy recording of a woman saying HMRC is sending bailiffs to my place because I’m supposedly dodging taxes.
