This guy called up for the third time asking for someone who doesn’t even live here, and we told him every single time. Even phoned the number he called from to warn them, but he still showed up. An older chap in a black Seat Ibiza, number plate YH57 YZR, claiming he had a parcel to deliver. I asked where his van was and to see some ID, but he refused to show any. I’ve caught him on my CCTV admitting he’s not a real courier and was supposedly delivering legal documents! I’ve reported him to the police, crime stoppers, and my brother-in-law who’s a cop. He’s not who he says he is and is trespassing since his company was told not to come here. He left a card with one firm’s name but was wearing a jacket from a different company, holding a scruffy parcel.

This bloke rang again for the third time asking for someone who doesn’t live here, despite us telling him each time. We even phoned his number to warn them. Then he turned up in an old black Seat Ibiza, regs YH57YZR. He claimed he had a parcel for me, but when I asked where his van was and to show some ID, he refused. I caught it all on my CCTV - he admitted he wasn’t really a courier, just dropping off “legal papers”. I’ve reported the whole thing to the police, Crime Stoppers, and my brother-in-law who’s a copper, because he’s clearly lying and coming onto our property when he’s been told not to. He left a card with one company’s name, but his jacket had a different firm’s logo, plus he was carrying a battered parcel. Quite suspicious if you ask me. The number said APS.

What’s their ultimate goal anyway? None of the comments here actually mention what goes down if you play along with them. Also, I’m wondering how do they pick who to target? Do they use the electoral register or some other list?

Over the past six months, about 19 cards have been left at my flat. Every time they turned up, I never answered the door even though I was in. I used to peek through the spyhole, and the person looked really suspicious, holding some kind of folder. He even went next door to ask about me. From what I gathered, these people claim to have a court notice over some debt and pressure you to sign it. I reckon they buy these cases off different debt collectors and threaten court if you don’t open up. If they can’t see you, they usually give up. Honestly, my advice is DO NOT OPEN THE DOOR - those cards aren't delivery slips and they’re not legit couriers. They just want to strong-arm you into court. They can’t actually do much if you ignore them.

Does anyone know if it's allowed for APS to leave cards at your door saying they've tried to deliver or pick something up, and that you need to arrange redelivery when they actually haven't been here? The cards just have my address on them, no name or anything. These keep appearing and I'm fed up with them, so I won’t be picking up if they call. They include this number, 0845 652 0004, but when I ring it, no one ever picks up. If anyone has info or advice about this, I'd really appreciate it. Yesterday, saw a card pushed through my letterbox with no name or return address on it. Didn’t recognise the company either and wasn’t expecting a delivery or anything. I got sent a couple of these cards through my letterbox not long ago. The first time, I actually phoned the number on it and left my contact info along with my name, but never got any reply back. Then, about five days after, another card turned up. This one had no proper info, just a tick saying something about re-delivery being possible, but in the spot where they should have put my name and address, it just said ‘please call’. Oddly, I was in at home both times!

Does anyone know who I can report these pointless leaflets that keep getting shoved through my letterbox from some firm named APS? They never put a name on it, definitely isn't a proper delivery service, no website to check, and their phone number’s a nightmare to get through to. Can anyone advise? I’ve gotten around 16 of these cards up till now, they just won’t stop. I’m not waiting for any packages or letters, yet they keep showing up, hanging about my doorway for like 10 minutes before leaving these sketchy cards without any return address or name. Honestly, don’t answer or open the door to these folks!

Someone turned up at my house claiming they had a letter to deliver, but it seemed odd as it could've been posted through my letterbox. The first time he came, he just left a card. When he arrived again, he didn’t show any ID and had a phone hanging round his neck with a camera pointed at me. I asked for some proof he was a courier, but he refused and just said he worked for the courier company. He was driving a small silver car, so I passed the details and description on to the police. He asked me who I was, but I told him that’s private, especially since I wasn’t the person he wanted anyway. After I kept asking for his ID, he just sat in his car for a few minutes before driving off.

This person kept insisting on making the delivery, and I asked if he could hand over a letter for my partner, but he said no. Something that really worried me was that he had his phone on a camera mode hanging around his neck, always pointing at you. I saw him head back to his car and check through the photos on his phone, and it happened a couple of times. So, just watch out for how they behave. DONT TRUST ANYONE CLAIMING TO BE PHONE POLICE OR CRIMESTOPPERS, THEY'RE ALL SCAMMERS. NEVER LET THEM INTO YOUR HOUSE. YOU SHOULD REPORT THEM IMMEDIATELY, THE MORE PRIVATES REPORT, THE MORE LIKELY THEY'LL CATCH THESE FRAUDS........ THEY'RE DEFINITELY NOT DELIVERY PEOPLE. Got one of those cards through the door yesterday and, like others, I wasn’t expecting anything to be delivered. Luckily I thought to look it up on Google before calling them! There’s this company trying to build a name by “serving” court papers, but honestly, half the time it’s nothing of the sort. If they come around, just tell them to leave your property or you’ll have to call the cops for harassment. They even go as far as asking your neighbours questions, which is pretty dodgy. I had a really weird experience with a scrawny bloke from Birmingham in a tiny silver car who started quizzing me about my sex life! They clearly don’t know anything about bailiffs or debt recovery, and worst of all, they won’t even show any ID. The whole thing is a shambles, so best to just ignore them, especially that dodgy Brummie guy.

Yesterday I found one of these cards slipped through my letterbox and, like most people, I wasn't waiting on any parcels. So, I googled the number on the card and ended up on this website. I rang the number 0845 652 0004 a few times but couldn’t get through. Finally, at about 10:35 in the morning, I managed to speak to a bloke with a Brummie accent. I asked him, quite politely, who the card was meant for, as I'm a woman but he gave me a man's name and address - turned out it was my neighbour's. I told him the card had ended up at the wrong door and he was very sorry about it and thanked me for letting him know. I offered to pop it through next door’s letterbox but he said not to bother since there was another delivery on its way, and I could just bin the card. I’d heard lots of scary stuff about this company, so I was a bit on edge, but that put my mind at ease.

These people ain't legit bailiffs, and APS isn’t even a genuine company name - they just use it illegally. I did some digging and confronted one bloke, and he scarpered right away. All they’re actually doing is handing out court documents from the local county court like summons or means test forms, nothing to do with collecting debts or acting as bailiffs. I’ve got about five cards from them now, and I’m planning to take them to the police as harassment evidence. Plus, I sent an anonymous letter to my neighbours warning about this fake courier mob going street to street trying to get personal info. If they knock on your door, don’t say who you are - just give a made-up name and ask for ID (which they won’t have). Tell them to never come back or you’ll report them for harassment. They might demand your ID, but legally, they have zero right to ask for anything. Know your rights!
