I gave that number a ring, but it was just a robot on the line, so I hung up instantly.
Is this going to cause an issue?

It appears that this was part of an automated scam operation linked to Lloyds TSB concerning 'name'.

THE NUMBER IS LEGITIMATE, DO CONTACT YOUR BANK I'm baffled as to why so many believe it's dodgy. If you're in doubt, have a look at this link: www.lloydstsb.com/debit_cards/fraud_protection.asp on the official Lloyds site for reassurance.

Since the introduction of the 2006 Scam Act, banks have seemingly taken it upon themselves to handle scams internally, rather than reporting them to the authorities. It feels as though they might be allowing dodgy practices to fester, only for folks to eventually catch on. That number, 08456031755, was originally a legitimate contact for Lloyds, but one must wonder who really pulls the strings behind the scenes and how they might be bending the rules until a proper investigation comes into play.

I received a message from someone claiming to be from a fraud investigation service! They requested information about a non-resident - what a scam! I’ve had three more calls from this number since then, it's becoming a right nuisance!

I reached out to Lloyds TSB directly, and they confirmed that the number in question indeed belongs to them. Apparently, they utilise it for their automated communications due to their vast customer base. The staff were incredibly helpful, guiding me through the necessary steps. They promptly halted the deductions from my account, which I'm utterly grateful for, as a particular company was attempting to bill me quadruple the original quote.

I received a legitimate phone call from the fraud department at Lloyds today. They contacted my home phone using an automated system, but I chose to disregard their prompts. Instead, I dialled the number located on the reverse of my debit card from my mobile. True enough, it was indeed the fraud team from Lloyds, following up on some suspicious activity detected on my account.

Got a voicemail from them that seemed pretty dodgy, so I’m definitely never picking up their calls again.

Today my landline got a call, apparently from Lloyds Bank’s fraud team. I wasn’t totally convinced so I didn’t follow what they said straight away. Instead, I decided to call the number on the back of my debit card with my mobile to check. Turns out, it really was Lloyds calling about some strange things happening on my card.

Just had a rather unsettling experience with a firm operating out of Southwark, London. It appears they’re running some sort of scam involving dodgy debit withdrawals. Unfortunately, I fell victim to it earlier today. Be wary, folks!

This number rang me 6 times one after another, but I didn’t pick up. They didn’t bother leaving any message either, so I’m guessing it’s just another spammer trying to get through.

We recently received a call from this number concerning dubious transactions, and it raised our eyebrows when they asked for our date of birth. It's quite alarming, as we were informed that someone attempted to use our card for a transaction all the way in Australia. Very unsettling, indeed!

Got a robo call saying it's from Lloyds bank about some fraud alert, with a token number to use when calling back. I didn't use the number in the message but found the official one on my bank statement instead. They've been super busy on the line, so I haven't managed to speak to anyone yet. I'll keep trying until I reach them.

So this lady claimed she was from Lloyds and said there was some 'activity' on my debit card, which honestly didn’t sound suspicious at all. She rang me three times, but the last two calls she hung up straight away when my voicemail kicked in. They left the line open, so I had to hang up myself a couple of times. Thankfully, I’d listened to a radio programme about this kind of scam just a few days earlier! She also gave me a ‘token’ - some sort of code to use if I called back.

So first they rang up looking for my other half, then about an hour after, they phoned again but this time said my name and claimed there was suspicious activity on our cards.

We've certainly never called this number back. We did reach out to the bank, and it turned out that the number was legitimate, but it was the scam department we were dealing with. If you're feeling anxious about potential scams, it's wiser to use their alternative number at 08456025684 for assistance.

We tried calling the number 08456025684, and they confirmed that there had been nine attempts to withdraw funds from our account, amounting to more than £3500. Thankfully, Lloyds promptly blocked all those transactions. So, it's safe to say this number is the real deal!

I’ve had a chat with some folks claiming to be from Lloyds TSB, and they mentioned that someone had accessed our account and withdrawn funds. They seemed to know a bit about our recent transactions, but when it came to answering straightforward queries, they fell short. In the end, we decided to hang up.

I experienced something quite similar earlier today. We found the odd recorded message rather suspicious, so we decided to contact the fraud department directly on 08456025684. They informed us there had been two transactions totaling over £80 today in Tunisia. Thankfully, the bank acted swiftly; they cancelled the card and managed to reverse the dodgy charges. However, it’s baffling that these scammers can't seem to have a genuine person make the call instead.

Absolutely legitimate - disregard at your own peril! To err on the side of caution, I rang Lloyds TSB’s official hotline at 0845 300 0000, where they confirmed that some numpty attempted to misuse £1500 of my hard-earned dosh on some ridiculous shopping site I’d never even heard of (I had a look online afterwards). The fraud team were incredibly helpful; they reviewed a few of my recent transactions (all of which were spot on) and promptly cancelled my card. The dodgy attempt occurred at 3:09 in the afternoon on 3 December 2011. Lloyds sent out the automated alert within ten minutes, and before I knew it, everything was sorted. A new card is expected to arrive in the post by Monday. Right plonkers (just to clarify, not Lloyds, mind you)...

On the 2nd of June 2008, we received a call from 08456031755, which turned out to be from Lloyds TSB. When we rang them back, they informed us that our card details had been compromised by some dodgy character over in Canada. Thankfully, TSB managed to resolve the issue, and thankfully, there were no unauthorised transactions. Just a tip: it's wiser to pay for your petrol with cash.

We received a call from this number today and, feeling a bit apprehensive, opted to reach out to Lloyds TSB Customer Services using the contact details we found online. They promptly directed us to their scam prevention team, who then reviewed our account. To our shock, we discovered an unauthorised transaction for nearly £200 in Tunisia. If you receive a call from this number, make sure to return the call as quickly as possible; it’s the real deal and there are some truly unscrupulous individuals out there trying to defraud you!

I must admit, I'm a bit sceptical about this situation, which is precisely why I've come here to verify the number first. I've reached out to Lloyds directly via their official phone banking line; they're the ones who can confirm whether this number is legitimate. Our card was attempted to be used in Dubai, but luckily their team acted swiftly and nipped it in the bud-hats off to them! I suggest you get in touch with them ASAP.

I can confirm that 0845 603 1755 is indeed a legitimate number. Initially, I had my doubts about both the call and the accompanying text message to my mobile, so I promptly hung up and decided to investigate my account online. To my astonishment, I discovered a pending charge of £30 labeled "O2 PrePay Slough," a transaction I had certainly not approved, particularly as I've never been a customer of O2 at any point. I promptly contacted Lloyds using the number on my debit card, who swiftly blocked my card and are in the process of issuing a new one. They even followed up with a call to inform me that they would send me a form for a refund of the £30 and mentioned that there were two additional unsuccessful attempts to use my card after it had been blocked. In summary, this number turned out to be valid, and my account could have been at serious risk if I had chosen to ignore the communication. That said, I wouldn’t recommend instantly trusting such calls or texts without question. If you find yourself in a similar scenario, it’s always wise to ring the number printed on your card for verification. Plus, make sure you hear a dial tone before you initiate the call, just in case the earlier call didn't properly disconnect.

I received a call from 08456031755, and earlier today I popped into the bank to take a gander at my account. Lo and behold, I discovered some dodgy transactions racking up to £63. So, heed my advice - don’t brush off that call, but do resist the temptation to engage. Instead, make a beeline for your bank!

We received a call from this number, so we decided to contact Lloyds TSB to verify its authenticity. According to the representatives we spoke to, it appears to be legitimate. Shortly after, the same number reached out to us again, and when we responded, we were informed that there had been an attempt to carry out a transaction using our account at an ATM in Romania. Apparently, our card may have been skimmed using a card machine. The only transaction we've made recently was at Hatton Cross station, which means this could be linked to that event.

Simply dial the customer service number for Lloyds and request to be transferred to the department handling card fraud when you hear that automated message. I've just had my card cancelled because someone was trying to use it over in Italy, but fortunately, Lloyds intercepted the attempt and blocked it. Thank goodness for their vigilance!

At precisely 8:01 PM, we received a rather 'urgent' message claiming to be from Lloyds TSB regarding scam prevention. It mentioned something about needing to call a specific number. Given that we had used our card for online purchases on the same day, we felt a bit anxious but also quite dubious about the legitimacy of the message. Consequently, we decided against returning the call.

We've received three calls-both at home and on our mobile-from the same number, dating back to 29/12/07. However, to be quite frank, we haven't conducted any such transactions lately. It's all rather puzzling!

Recently, our lad received a text from this bank, and when we tried to ring them back, we hung up immediately as they failed to properly identify themselves. Isn’t that a clear sign of a scam? I can't fathom why the proper authorities haven't moved to put a stop to this kind of activity!
