I've come across this number along with another one, 08708503492 - give us a bell. We investigated the other number, and it turns out it was linked to Halifax/Bank of Scotland as well. From what we gathered, others have reported all sorts of harassment and incessant calls from these folks. Strangely enough, I don’t even have an account with Halifax!

The phone rang thrice more, and since the Caller ID only lets us know who's on the other end, we only pick up for family and mates. I tried googling the number, but absolutely nothing turned up. To be honest, we have no plans to return the call unless they leave a message introducing themselves and explaining why they’ve called. It’s probably just someone trying to sell us something.

It seems this lot are from Halifax. They keep calling my partner at the most ridiculous hours, and the line is so silent that she can barely make out a word. It's unusual-either they hang up or there's just nothing on the other end. Quite peculiar, isn't it?

Whenever we pick up, all we hear is silence on the other end, and if we attempt to return the call, a robotic voice informs us that they’ll get back to us another time. It's baffling what they hope to achieve, as all it does is frustrate us to no end.
