FROM A FURIOUS SPOUSE.
This particular number keeps cropping up on our phone bill ever since my husband, who struggles with dementia, was provided with a falls alert pendant and wrist strap. The service was presented to us as complimentary, not as an expensive phone call. Oddly enough, it sometimes rings even when he hasn't got his alarms on him. We’re looking at an average charge of £3.50 each month.

It seems to me that this number belongs to a panic alert system, possibly used for emergencies by some older adults. It's designed to operate via a landline. I'm not sure why there would be a fee associated with this service.

I came across this number on my dad's invoice. Given that he's dealing with some health concerns, the NHS has set up an alert system that contacts a central response team whenever he has a fall. I believe this number might be linked to that system making the emergency call.
Just wanted to put this out there in case anyone else spots it on their statement and wonders about its origin.

Got a call from some automated message with an American accent, said it was Talk Talk warning me my service was going to be cut off today. Total scam!

I've noticed that I've been charged for four calls to this number in the past fortnight. I reached out to TalkTalk, as they’re my provider, and was met with a rather unhelpful representative who insisted there's no way I'd be charged for calls I never made. However, it’s absolutely occurred. I live by myself, meaning my phone isn’t used by anyone else, and I've double-checked my call log to confirm I didn’t ring it myself. It's not listed at all. I'm really keen to understand how this has taken place, and considering it's been within the last two weeks, I'm worried it might happen again.
