I missed this call, but honestly, I would’ve loved to mess around with whoever it was. One upside of Covid lockdowns was being able to have a bit of a laugh pretending to be a lonely widow or a scared older woman. I’ve lost count of the times I’ve sobbed into the phone, got them all rattled, then flipped them off and hung up. As long as you don’t spill any actual details, it’s quite entertaining.

I got a call from someone named Dominic about funeral arrangements. When I told him that he was breaking the 2018 GDPR laws by calling me without consent, he tried to say I must have agreed on a website. I told him we both knew that wasn’t true and demanded they take my number off their list, which I’ve since blocked. Just a heads up, if you’ve never dealt with a company before, you probably haven’t given them permission to call you and they could be seriously fined - so report them! Even if you've been a customer, they still need your permission to send marketing calls!!!

Totally with you on this - these callers bother so many folks but somehow still get to use 0845 numbers. I'm getting really sick of all these calls. I use a phone with two sims, one’s O2 and the other’s giffgaff. O2 is way better at blocking spam and scam calls. Maybe that info helps someone.
