Never ring them back, it’s definitely a con. They’ll phone you, wait for you to pick up, then just hang up straight away, hoping you’ll call again, but the cost of calling back is very high. Also, if they tell you to press a number to stop calls, don’t press anything, or you’ll get charged. Just stay quiet and let them keep talking until they get bored and hang up.

Who exactly is supplying the phone connection to these annoying lot, and is there any way to get compensation from them for letting these muppets mess up my life? This isn't the first time either, couple of months back a similar number did the same, and my bill shot up by about £100 cause the call went on for nearly 3 hours.
