I got a call from someone claiming to be with an energy firm, and they got quite rude when I told them I couldn’t put their call through to the right department. They didn’t take it well at all.

Got a call about PPI refusals, bloke said that if I didn’t accept the deal, my bank would start taking money from my account. Proper threatening stuff, felt really dodgy to me.

I was under the impression you were utilising a call blocker? As per OFCOM's information, it appears that the 0845 numbers within the 429 category haven't actually been allocated for use, so it should be perfectly fine to blacklist them.
