They've bumped it up to a staggering £1 a day for up to 20 days-quite the leap from when I first signed up with A&L, where it was merely 50p daily for a maximum of 10 days. My account tends to be in the red for the most part (just till payday rolls around on Fridays), and while I was fine with shelling out £120 a year, doubling that to £240 is simply unacceptable! After they sent me a generic response to my secure messages, I realised they were ignoring my concerns altogether. That's when I decided to launch a social media awareness campaign, urging others to steer clear of Santander and sharing information on platforms that highlight these exploitative practices. It’s ridiculous that new customers have to wade through nine pages of terms and conditions just to uncover such charges. They never bothered to alert me about these alterations, which feels like yet another ploy to trap people in debt and rake in hefty fees. It's shocking that the Office of Fair Trading hasn't stepped in yet.
