Found this number on the Barclays site when I was trying to sort a payment I’d made from my account. My phone kept failing to send back the confirmation text they’d sent me, so I had no choice but to call them up. Eventually got through to an agent who helped me get the payment sorted, but the call cost me a bit over £5, which felt a bit steep for something so vital.

Got a call supposedly from Barclays fraud department, and the number matched one on their site. I ended up stuck on hold for about 12 mins and it cost me nearly seven quid before I gave up. Not sure if the number was being faked, a scam, or just poor customer service from Barclays. Either way, I wouldnt bother calling back or answering if it rings again.
